Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroeshas one of the longest prologues you’ll find in any game, and it can take you quite a few hours to get past it. The prologue ends after the battle of Eltisweiss where everyone in Grum County is forced to retreat, and they take shelter in the same area where you had the Kogen boss fight.
After reaching this point, you’ll witness a small time skip, and your castle will be ready by the end of it. You’ll also recruit a character called Iris, who will help you get various upgrades for your base. However, some of these upgrades will have you fulfilling some special requirements.
We’ve updated this guide to highlight every single update you can get to your castle.
All Castle Upgrades
Once your castle is built and you go through all the initial introductions, you can find Iris having hercabin on the right side of the lobby at the bottom floor of the castle. If you want to get any upgrades to your base, this is the place you need to visit. However, one of the most important upgrades you can get is the one done to your castle itself.
This completely changes the look of your castle for the better,while also unlocking new upgrades and possible recruitable allies. Here’s everything you’ll need for every castle upgrade in the game:
Level 4
You can’t upgrade your castle anymore once you reach level four, andall the upgradeable nodes will be unlockedwith this.
Every Base Upgrade And Its Requirements
you may upgrade your castle to make it look better or get some more recruits, but you’llneed to unlock a variety of other upgrades for everything else. You can only get a certain number of upgrades with each castle level, but you unlock more as you upgrade it. Here’s everything you need to know about the base upgrades in the game:
Build Divination Parlor
Builds a divination parlor in the right room of the bottom floor of the castle. It allows you tofind the locations of new recruitsand know more about the recruited allies.
Build Hero’s Den

Builds an Inn inside the castle area, which can be used tostay and heal your party, save the game, or change party members.
Build Restaurant
Opens a restaurant inside the Hero’s Den, to the left of the main reception. You can order various recipes here andtake part in Cooking Battles.
Build Trading House
Doesn’t do anything by itself, but serves as aplace for various shopsdown the line.
Build Tool Shop
Builds a Tool Shop on the lower floor of the Trading House, whichallows you to buy various potions.
Build Armor Shop
Opens the Armor Shop on the upper floor of the Trading House.
Build Accessory Shop
Opens up an Accessory Shop beside the Armor shop, and lets youbuy some quality rings.
Build Card Shop
Opens up a Card Shop beside the Tool Shop, which lets you buy Card Packs andplay the Card Battles minigame.
Build Rune Shop
Opens up a Rune Shop, allowing you to buy various runes.
Build Stowpack Shop
Opens a Stowpack shop andincreases your maximum inventory spacefor both resources and normal items.
Build Achiev. Society
Build the Achievement Society near the Divination Parlor and allows you to see various achievements.
Build Hunter’s Cabin
Builds a hunting cabin near the castle andstarts automatic Pelt farming.
Hunter’s Cabin: Prod. 1
Increases the amount of items obtained from the Hunter’s Cabin andstarts automatic meat farming.
Establish Pasture
Opens up a Pasturage near the main castle, starts yourautomatic food and milk farm.
Build Fishing Spot
Builds a fishing spot near the exit of the castle area andlets you start fishing.
Establish Quarry
Opens up a Quarry and lets youstart farming stone and saltautomatically.
Build Woodcutter’s Cabin
Opens up a woodcutter’s cabin, and lets youautomatically farm lumber and fruit.
Establish Farm
Opens up a farm and lets you harvest food and vegetables.
Build Hot Spring
Builds a hot spring that massively increases population andlets you give a special buffto your party.
Build Library
Builds a Library inside the castle, which massivelyincreases the population and lets you submit your Faded Books. It also serves as a place to look at your Fish and Enemy collectibles.
Build Appraiser’s Shop
Builds an Appraiser’s shop on the lower floor of the Trading House, letting youappraise items in the castle itself.
Hero’s Den Renovation
Makes the Hero’s Den look more beautiful and increases the population massively.
Resource Depot Cap. 2
Increases theamount of materials you can storein the castle even more.
Fishing Rod Upgrade 1
Makes your fishing rod better, increasing your odds of catching a rare fish.
Build Mission Guild
Builds a Mission Guild and lets youstart going on expeditionsfor freebies.
Build Racing Stables
Builds the Racing Stables near the castle and lets youtake part in the Eggfoot Racingminigame.
Opens a smithy and lets youupgrade your weaponsin the base.
Drill Grounds
Builds a Drill Grounds in the castle and lets youdevelop ally abilitywhen you don’t have them in your active party.
Build Auditorium
Opens up a performance center in Hero’s Den where you can listen to Allaby’s musicat any time.
Build Workshop
Creates a Workshop near the forge andallows you to create cosmetic designs.
Build Mysterious Room
Opens the mysterious room near the prison area in the castle andallows you to start the Hero’s trial ground minigame. You can also recruit a new character here.
Resource Depot Cap. 3
Increases the storage capacity of the castle’s depot to the maximum.
Achiev. Society: Bronze
Sets up a bronze statue toshow the high scores for all the heroes' ranking.
Smithy: Weapon Level 1
Themaximum level of the weaponsyou can forge at the Smithy increases.
War Troop Boost 1
Increases theabilities of your troops and unit captainsduring the big battles.
Build Trading Post
Your castle will now have a trading post that you canuse for all your trading needs.
Nowa’s Room: Redecorate
you’re able to customize the furnishing in Nowa’s roomon the first floor.
Build Theater
Builds a theater on the castle’s outskirts andlets you start performing various plays.
Builds the third and final landmark.
Smithy: Weapon Level 3
Increases thelevel of weapon you’re able to forge at the smithy to the maximum.
War Troop Boost 2
Increases the abilities of your troops and unit captains even more.
