There’s no indication of how long Elden Ring will remain on sale at either site, but if it is somehow a game that passed you by until now and its expansion’s imminent arrival has piqued your interest, now’s the best time to hop aboard the incredibly crowded bandwagon while it’s on sale.

With worldbuilding from Game of Thrones scribe George R.R. Martin and developed by FromSoftware, Elden Ring is a masterpiece in what has become known as the ‘Soulslike’ genre of action role-playing games.
Even without the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, there’s a lot to do in Elden Ring. Its most dedicated fans have continued to prove that for the past two years as even after doing everything there is to do in the game, players have been returning to The Lands Between and traversing them in weird and wonderful ways. It took less than a month for someone to have a crack at the game’s first bosswith a controller made of bananas, and someone elsecompleted the game without taking a single hit using an electric saxophone.
If you’re new to Elden Ring and you plan on playing the base game and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in one fell swoop, pre-orders for the expansion are still available. There’s even a bundle that gets you the base game as well as its expansionyou’ll find in our pre-order guide, but it’s only available digitally and you won’t benefit from the discounts currently available on physical copies of the base game by itself.
