Summary
EA Sports College Football 25 will be making its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 19. EA has already revealed that Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Texas' Quinn Ewers, and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards will grace the standard edition cover of the video game, the full reveal of the next installment in the revived series' taking place earlier this week.In the lead-up to that reveal, EA also revealed the three editions players will have to choose from - Standard, Deluxe, and an MVP Bundle. All three editions are typical EA fare with expected price points, however, given that this is the first college football game in more than a decade, there are a few twists to be aware of. Here’s how it all shakes out.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition of College Football 25 will retail at $69.99. Its cover features the aforementioned trio of Hunter, Ewers, and Edwards. It will be released on July 19 with no early access period. You will get the items below as a pre-order bonus, though.
In other words, players will get to choose one item from a total of 134 (the number of FBS schools included in the game) for the Alma Mater bonus. Additionally, they will get to choose one item from three (the number of cover athletes) via the Cover Athlete pack. The Bring Glory Home uniform appears to be a gray jersey, per EA’s official press materials.

Deluxe Edition
Beyond those three packs, players will also receive 4,600 College Football Points - a currency similar to Madden’s - as well as a Heisman Hopeful Ultimate Team Pack. That pack will grant players one player item out of five, and it will only be available to those who preorder by June 27.
It remains to be seen what the Heisman Hopeful pack will contain, but if I had to guess, it’ll have five player items made up of the players who have the best odds to win the annual award. Given that the football season hasn’t started, those players haven’t yet been determined. Still, some combination of Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart, and Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava seem likely given their status and expected level of play in 2024.

MVP Bundle
Players who purchase the MVP Edition of College Football 25 will get all the bonuses of the Deluxe Edition, including Early Access and a plethora of goodies, as well as the Deluxe Edition of Madden NFL 25 when it releases. The Deluxe Edition of Madden NFL 25 will cost $99.99 ($89.99 with EA Play), meaning that those who purchase the bundle will effectively be saving $50.
That Deluxe Edition of Madden will include the following:
In other words, players will receive two deluxe video games for a pretty great price. Even considering the cost of the Standard Edition of either game, costing $69.99, for only $10 more, players will get access to the premium editions of both titles. The caveat for gamers who prefer physical copies is that both games in the bundle will be digital-only.

WHERE TO PLAY
EA Sports returns to the junior scene after more than a decade with College Football 25, a realistic football sim that lets you take your favorite schools all the way to national glory.
Either way, college football is officially back in video game form. And no matter what edition you end up choosing, it’s been a long time coming.
