This article will list some of the best things that only pro players know in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These include many tips and tricks that will help you out on your adventures and some other cool stuff that every player of the game should know.
10Ask The Oracle For Advice
A Little Help Is Always Nice
Dragon’s Dogma 2can get quite complicated at times, and there may be moments when you might not understand what you need to do to progress the game. In such cases, all you have to do is visit the Oracle, with whom you may consult for just 50G.
The Oracle will give you a cryptic hintabout what you can do to progress in your adventures. What’s even better about these hints is that you will still need to figure out the answers, and they won’t just be handed out to you, which helps keep things challenging.
9Use The Thief Vocation For The Fastest Movement
The Best Movement Combo
Traveling in Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t the greatest. There aren’t many ways to fast-travel and getting from one place to another can be quite slow. Choosingthe thief vocationcan help you out in this regard as it has a great combination of moves that will let you zoom across the map.
Using the Swift Step ability along with the Carve attack will propel your character forward, and you’re able to spam these abilities to move quickly and get to places easily and quickly. Some of its other abilities, such as the Concussive Leap and Skull Splitter, are also great movement-based abilities.
8Do The Unmoored World Properly
A Timed Endgame
The Unmoored World lasts for a total of 12 in-game days, and it has loads of stuff for you to explore. During this time, you might want toavoid resting at the inn and focus on exploringand killing as many new enemies and monsters as possible.
Plenty of new areas will have opened up during this time and exploring them will not only be fun but will also make you gain a lot of equipment that you can use for the final boss fight or in the New Game Plus.
7Fill Up The Lanterns
For Better Lighting
Nighttime in Dragon’s Dogma 2 brings plenty of different challenges and tougher monsters. If you’re out on your adventures during the night or are exploring a dungeon, make sure to give all of your pawns lanternsas some of them may not come equipped with them.
You can also give oil to all of these pawns, so they can automatically refill these lanterns. This will provide a constant source of light, and you won’t have to worry about the darkness too much apart from refueling your sources once in a while.
6Abuse Your Pawns' Teleportation Abilities
An Unconventional Usage
All of your Pawnscan automatically teleport to you, no matter where you are. There is no need to worry about building pathways for them; you just need to focus on your own traversal, and they will follow you without any problems.
You can alsouse their teleportation abilities to let them get chests that you can’t access. All you need to do is point at something you can’t reach, and the AI will find a way for the Pawns to maneuver through and get to that spot.
5Visit The Scrap Store For Lost Items
Recover Lost Items
Although some players will already be familiar with this, a lot of people don’t seem to know that you canvisit Ibrahim’s Scrap Store in the Checkpoint Rest Town to recover itemsthat you may have dropped or accidentally sold.
All you need to do is head to the shop and open the Special Finds section, and you will be able to re-buy these lost items for a price. Just note that this only applies to dropped items and not stuff that you have given to your pawns as gifts.
4Dismiss Pawns If Needed
Some Sacrifices Are Necessary
Inventory management is a huge part of Dragon’s Dogma 2, and you sometimesmay have more stuff than you can carryeven with all your pawns combined. If you are far away from your house and want to send some items to your storage, then it might be worth dismissing a pawn as all their items get transferred to your storage.
Of course, you can alsotake the ruthless route and just throw your pawn off a cliff, which is probably the more fun choice.
3Mass Revive Your Pawns
Save A Lot Of Valuable Time
Everyone knows that you’re able to revive your pawns if they have been knocked down, but not everyone realizes that you don’t have to revive each pawn manually and can justmass revive all of them at the same time.
All you need to do is pick up all of your pawns and put them close to each other. Once you revive one of these pawns, the rest of them will also be revived automatically, which will help you save a lot of time.
2Be Aware Of Dragonsplague
Do Not Underestimate This
Newer players might not realize this, but theDragonsplague is one of the scariest partsof Dragon’s Dogma 2. If any of your party members contracts it,it can spread through towns and kill many NPCs throughout the game, which can completely ruin your save.
If any of your pawns do contract Dragonsplague, the best option is to simply kill them and resummon them from a Riftstone. Do not try to revive these pawns as they will still be infected and won’t be cured through this process.
1Enemies Respawn Over Time
Examine Decomposed Bodies
As you kill bosses, you will notice their bodies lie on the ground and decompose over time. You can examine these bodies and notice their deterioration over time to understand how quickly these bosses will respawn.
Most bosses in the game, such as Medusa, take over 14 days in-game to respawn, while some others respawn in under a week. This tip might seem quite niche but will definitely help you ifyou are looking to farm these bosses over and over againfor more loot.
