Summary
Android 18’sDragon Ball Supervariant has been revealed as the next DLC character coming toDragon Ball Xenoverse 2, suggesting that everyone else from the Conton City Hero Vote will be added eventually.
One of the most exciting things about any Dragon Ball Z game is seeing what fighters from across the various series and sagas get added to the roster.Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 mixed this up significantly in 2022 by allowing players to votebetween five different characters and decide which of them would get turned into DLC next.
That vote, named the Conton City Hero Vote, pitted Goku’s Ultra Instinct Sign form against Dypso, Bergamo, GT Vegeta, and Android 18 from Dragon Ball Super. As you’re able to probably imagine, the final three characters who were turned into DLC were Goku, Vegeta, and Dypso, who were by far the most popular choices in the vote, despite some complaints that we were getting yet another variation of Goku and Vegeta.
Android 18 (Super) Is Coming To Xenoverse 2 Despite Losing The Hero Vote
Although most were happy with the outcome of the Conton City Hero Vote, some players were worried that it meant that Android 18 and Bergamo had been cut from the gameand wouldn’t ever be turned into fighters on the roster. That isn’t the case at all, however, as it was just revealed yesterday thatAndroid 18 (Super) was going to be one of the new characters included in the first part of the Future Saga.
Android 18’s Super variation joining Xenoverse 2’s roster comes as quite a surprise considering she lost the Conton City Hero Vote and was expected to just never make it into the game. Bandai Namco didn’t reference the Hero Vote when announcing Android 18 as DLC, but it does seem to suggest that the Vote didn’t decideifa fighter was going to be added, and instead just decidedwhen.
Videl (Super) was also confirmed to be coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as part of the Future Saga. Unlike Android 18, she’s brand-new to the game and wasn’t included in the Hero Vote.
With that in mind, it seems incredibly likely that Xenoverse 2 is going to end up adding all of the characters from the Conton City Hero Vote that didn’t end up making it into the game. That means that, despite not being revealed alongside Android 18 yesterday, it looks like we’re going to end up getting Bergamo as a DLC fighter at some point in the near future, as he’s the only one left from the Vote not to be in the game.
