Summary
Now that what-if scenarios have been confirmed to play a major role inDragon Ball: Sparking Zero, fans are sharing what non-canon events they want to see in the game.
Dragon Ball fans have beenwaiting for what feels like an eternity to find out when they can get their hands on Sparking Zero(and finally see the back of the infamous “Wishlist Now” message),and that’s exactly what they got at Summer Game Fest. Not only did we find out that we’re just a few months away from Sparking Zero, but we also got a bunch of new gameplay details.
As great as it was to see Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku andfind out that characters are going to be unlockable, the highlight of the trailer was the confirmation that what-if battles are going to play a big role in the game. In fact, they appear to be the main story mode mechanic, with several Goku-specific choices being shown in the trailer. Now that what-if battles have been confirmed, fans are already coming up with their own.
Dragon Ball Fans Have A Bunch Of What-If Scenario Ideas
Over on the Budokai Tenkaichi subreddit, Redditor First_Factor_3385 asked Dragon Ball fans what scenarios they wanted to see in the game now that what-ifs have been confirmed to be a part of the game. Although we don’t know how far these what-if battles will go, there are already a bunch of suggestions.
Redditor A-Liguria provided loads of examples, from Bardock going Super Saiyan and saving his planet from Frieza, to Vegeta going Super Saiyan instead of Goku, and even Goku and Vegeta using the Fusion dance against Super Buu. Some other great examples in the thread include Goku using Super Saiyan 3 against Majin Vegeta and Ultimate Gohan showing up early to take on Fat Buu.
There are, of course, some meme suggestions like characters being locked in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber after being betrayed and the farmer not sparing Raditz at the start of Dragon Ball Z.
Interestingly, it seems that a lot of the what-if scenarios that fans are suggesting could actually make it into the game. Not just because they’re choices that Spike Chunsoft have likely thought of, but because the official website revealed thatplayers can create and share their own battles online. Looks like all the stories of Tien being the strongest character are about to become real.
