Summary
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s most recent trailer has convinced a lot of fans that the game won’t feature any characters or content from Dragon Ball GT in the base game.
As is the case with pretty much any fighting game, one of the biggest conversations surrounding Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero iswhat characters are going to be playable on the roster. We’ve seen several eras of Dragon Ball represented already, from Kid Gohan all the way up to Jiren and Kefla, but there are still some parts of Dragon Ball that are notably missing right now.
So far, we’ve had nothing from either the original Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball GT,despite both heavily featuring in Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Although OG Dragon Ball content is still up in the air and a distinct possibility, the latest trailer for the gamehas convinced a lot of fans that GT will be set aside for DLC.
Dragon Ball Fans Have Lost Hope For GT In Sparking Zero
In case you missed it,the most recent trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero focused on the game’s Fusion fighters, including Gotenks, Kefla, Gogeta, Vegito, and Fused Zamasu, all of which are highly-requested picks for the game that everyone was sure would get in. There’s one Fusion fighter that isn’t here, though - Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, the Fusion of Goku and Vegeta’s SSJ4 forms.
Far and away, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is one of the most popular Dragon Ball characters of all time and someone who Bandai would want to show off as soon as possible during a trailer all about Fusions. However,as pointed out by Redditor MetalGamer95 on the Budokai Tenkaichi subreddit, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta being absent from that trailer makes the inclusion of GT content seem a little uncertain.
I personally think that GT and Dragon Ball content are both going to be saved for DLC alongside Daima, with the main roster taking up all of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Hey, as long as we get Beast Gohan.
While it seems that most fans agree with that sentiment, there are a few who have pointed out that GT characters would surely take up their own trailer altogether instead of just being included at the end of one about Fusions. There are also a ton of empty slots on the roster that indicate that we’ve barely scratched the surface of Sparking Zero’s roster size, so even if some fans have given up, there might be hope left.
