Summary
After a decade-long wait for a newDragon Agegame,BioWarecontinues to insistDragon Age: The Veilguardwill be here before the end of 2024. That means if you have never played a Dragon Age game before, time is running out if you want to catch up before The Veilguard’s release. If that’s your plan, it’d be best to invest in the trilogy now since you can currentlyget all three Dragon Age games on Steam for 90 percent lessthan usual.
Dubbed the Dragon Age franchise sale, the trilogy has had its price slashed in an attempt to get as many people playing the games as possible ahead of The Veilguard’s launch. While the trailer atSummer Game Festdidn’t hit the spot for a lot of people, those who had the chance to take a closer look at the game afterward have had nothing but good things to say. If their comments have convinced you to give Dragon Age a try, the trilogy is $9.97 instead of the usual $100.

If you don’t need the entire trilogy and you just have Dragon Age gaps to plug before The Veilguard’s arrival, all three games are available to buy on Steam with the same discount applied. $2.99 each forDragon Age Originsand Dragon Age 2, and $3.99 forDragon Age Inquisition. Bragains across the board regardless of what you think of each individual entry. Sure, most consider Dragon Age 2 to be the worst, but for $3, it’s still a heck of a lot of good game for a very small amount of money.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
WHERE TO PLAY
Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third in the popular action RPG series from BioWare, and serves as a sequel to the events of Dragon Age 2. You must travel the continent of Thedas to seal the ‘Breach’, a kind of portal that is sending demonic enemies into the world.
Although The Veilguard’s release date is TBD, you don’t have long to decide if you want the pre-existing trilogy for less. Steam’s Dragon Age franchise sale comes to an end on June 27, after which point it will likely cost the full $100 if you then decide you want to play Dragon Age on Steam in time for The Veilguard. My advice? Buy it now for less than $10 and even if you don’t play it right away, it’ll be there waiting for you when you do. What’s three more games on the eternal backlog at this point, right?

Dragon Age: Origins
2009 saw the release of Bioware’s Dragon Age, an RPG title that would birth a long-running franchise. This original release sets the foundation of the Dragon Age universe, featuring the introduction of the Dark Spawn and a cast of colorful characters.

We already know thatit won’t be an open worldand thatit’s set 22 years after the events of Origins.
