Back in 2020, one of the biggest upsets in Twitch history took place whenHerschel “Guy” Beahm IV, better known as Dr DisRespect, was suddenly fired from the platform out of nowhere. Even though Twitch never officially acknowledged the reason for DisRespect’s removal from the platform, its sudden occurrence made it clear that it was a big deal. Four years later, allegations have started being made by former Twitch staff that suggest the reason Beahm was fired is because he was caught “sexting a minor” in Twitch whispers.
Dr DisRespect Denies Claims He Was Caught Talking To A Minor
This claim was first made by Twitter user and former CPM explainer Cody Conners, who claimed last night that “he” (largely believed to be Dr DisRespect), “got banned because [he] got caught sexting a minor in the then-existing Twitch whispers product”. Conners claimed that DisRespect was planning on meeting with the minor at TwitchCon.
This claim was retweeted by streaming reporter Jake Lucky, who directly called out Dr DisRespect and suggested he was the one that the allegations were referring to.This retweet was replied to by Beahm, who said that it had been settled, that no wrongdoing was acknowledged, and that he had been paid out for the whole contract.

Although DisRespect has denied the claims that he was banned from Twitch due to conversations with a minor, other sources have seemingly backed up the allegations from Connors.Former Twitch worker Zachary Diaz tweeted, “so glad it’s finally out there”,while esports reporter Rod Breslau, who previously said the matter had a lot of “sensitivity” surrounding it, simply said, “I didn’t lie”.
