Summary
Digimonhas continued to celebrate its 25th anniversary with yet another revival from the series' past. In the same vein asthe new Digivice recreation, which was revealed last month, a first look at the revival of the Digimon Pendulum has now been revealed, alongside pre-order details and release dates in Japan and the US. The Pendulum Color will not only look better than the original late ’90s offerings, but their Digimon rosters have been expanded upon too.
The Pendulum Color 4, 5, and Zero are all available topre-order now through Premium Bandai. Exactly the same size as the original devices, and decked out in the same color schemes too. It wasn’t the exterior of the devices that needed a makeover for 2024. It was the screen and how they function. The Pendulum Color has an internal battery that can be charged via its USB-C port, although a cable will not be included with the device.
The biggest upgrade is, of course, to the screens. As the name of the remade devices suggests, the Pendulum Color has a color screen unlike the original run of devices. Using your Pendulum to communicate will unlock alternative backgrounds, as will communicating with the previously announced 25th anniversary Digivice. For those unfamiliar with the Pendumum’s original run, the model you get will dictate which Digimon are available.
Digimon Pendulum Color 4, 5, And Zero
Pendulum Color 4 is the Wind Guardians device, 5 is Metal Empire, and Zero for Virus Busters. Each device’s roster boasts more than 30 Digimon, and combining/evolving certain Digimon will unlock monsters that didn’t exist when this trio of devices was originally released in 1998. Each device is $65 each and the pre-order period for them has begun at Premium Bandai. You have until 2:59 am EST on June 02, 2025, to place your pre-orders, and the Pendumum Colors are expected to ship in the US starting in November.
As noted above, a modern version of the Digivice has also been announced as a part of the franchise’s 25th anniversary celebrations. The Digivice is a little different from the Pendumum Color. It’s effectively a Tamagotchi combined with a pedometer, your Digimon progressing the more you walk.
