InBaldur’s Gate 3, the world can be interacted with in many ways. It can often be hard to know what angle to take in any given mission. Sometimes, however, the right angle is literal.While exploring the Druid’s Grovein Act 1, a special mission can only be triggered when you approach it the right way.

For many, Nadira, a tiefling scout in the grove, is inevitably killed by an assassin, but her fate is not in fact sealed. With the many twists and turns in the druid’s encampment, finding the right road to take is the key to saving Nadira’s life and unlocking a special interaction with her.

Where To Find Nadira

Nadira can be foundon the cliffs just before the Druid Camp, where the scouts are guarding the gated entrance. She is on theright side of the gateatop a particularly tall peak, standing nearby a telescope(X:240, Y:450).

How To Save Nadira

The key to saving Nadira’s life is theside from which you approachNadira’s location. There are two angles you can reach Nadira from; one that lets you see the bugbear before it attacks, and one that does not.

How To Approach Nadira From Behind

We do not recommend this approach if you want to save Nadira.

One way to find Nadira is to approach from behind. This can be done either bytaking the lower roadwhile on top of the gate (the left side of the path) or bytaking the lift upfrom the heart of the Druid Grove.

Approaching from behind the bugbear will give the bugbear enough time tokill Nadira before you arrive. When you get close enougharound (X:252, Y:463)the bugbear will begin to attack.

How To Approach Nadira From The Front

This is the approach you should take to save Nadira.

Approaching from the front is the keyto saving Nadira’s life. This means taking the right path that inclines upwardaround (X:244, Y:440). Here, Nadira will be closer to you than the bugbear is.

The key to triggering this encounter is when the ‘red enemy spot’ appears on your minimap. Once that icon appears, the bugbear will begin to creep closer to Nadira.

How To Defeat The Bugbear

If you approach from behind,the bugbear will kill Nadira before attempting to flee down the cliff. In doing this, he will eventually run into your party. He only has weapons to fight in melee, sohe can easily be killed by fighting from a distance.

If you approach from the front,you will spot the bugbear and surprise him. This gives you a Surprise round in combat, where he can swiftly be dealt with. Triggering combat from the front also Frightens Nadira, so she will attempt to run away.

After three rounds pass in combat, Nadira will no longer be Frightened and will begin fighting with her fists.

If any party member gets in the way of the bugbear and Nadira, the bugbear will instead target the party member, making protecting Nadira an easy task.

Rewards

In addition to some gold and being able to loot its weapon, the bugbear drops a few items:

In talking with Nadira, or looting her body, you’re able to also find aSoul Coin. Speaking with Nadira can reveal moreinformation about the nature of Soul Coins.

If Nadira dies,Speak with Deadwill not work on her. The only way to speak to her in dialogue is to save her.

Successfully rescuing Nadira also means you have the chance of earning theLeave No One Behind achievement/trophyfor rescuing all of the tieflings in the grove.
