Summary
FromSoftwarehas had some really amazing boss fights in their games and, withElden Ring, you get the peak of boss design, that’s a perfect combination of game mechanics and fun ways to take advantage of them. Within Elden Ring, there are boss fights that can deal a lot of damage, heal up during the fight, or even be two bosses being fought at once.
But the hardest and most fun boss fights are the ones with the highest HP stat, since you have time to pace the fight according to your play style. With Elden Ring, since it’s such a huge game, FromSoftware has really gone past the limit of their older games in how much HP some of these bosses have.

10Godfrey, First Elden Lord
21,903 HP
It’s interesting how some of the endgame bosses have lower health than some regular bosses hanging around The Lands Between, but in the case of Godfrey, he has some decent damage negation that boosts his health pool by a bit.
Godfrey is the second last boss of Elden Ring, and he deserves his high HP status as he was at one point an Elden Lord, the title that every tarnished strives to achieve. The battle with a legendary foe likeGodfrey is equally difficult and fun and it takes a long time to whittle down his healthfor you to claim victory.

9Elden Beast
22,127 HP
The final boss of Elden Ring and a God that you facebefore you finally ascend the throne, the Elden Beast is perhaps one of the most beautiful boss fights in the game. Besides having a great design, the Elden Beast packs a punch and has a lot of health, and since you have to fight him directly after beating Radagon, it becomes even more difficult.
Mechanically, the boss fight can either be fun or frustrating depending on your luck, but there’s no denying that it’s visually spectacular, and you may properly take it in while you try to damage him.

8Decaying Ekzykes
23,731 HP
A greater foe that you can face in Caelid, Decaying Ekzykes, is a Dragon fight just like the other Dragons you face throughout the game, but it’s infected with Scarlet Rot and is surprisingly tanky.
This enemy is considered harder than most other Dragons, and since his arena is small, it’s easy to get infected by its scarlet rot breath, which can be really frustrating to deal with. Considering that he’s not a major boss, and is optional as well, it’s surprising how it has some of the highest HP in the game.

7Great Wyrm Theodorix
25,649 HP
Another optional boss that has more HP than some endgame bosses, Great Wyrm Theodorix, is found in the consecrated snowfields area, an endgame location, so it deserves its high health pool.
The fight is similar to other Great Wyrms you can fight in Elden Ring, but you can also cheese it by attracting the Land Octopus nearby to attack him, making it easier for you. Despite its high HP, the fight is relatively easy, especially since you’ve most probably fought this enemy type many times before.

6Godskin Duo
26,350 HP
The Godskin Duo is perhaps one of the most universally hated boss fightsin Elden Ring because of how incompatible the Godskin Apostle and Noble can be with each other, making it really difficult for you to find an attack window.
Worst still, they have some of the highest HP in the game, and you have to deplete their entire HP bar before you’re able to win. Killing one will lead to it being brought back by the other after a short time, so the difficulty of the fight stays relatively consistent throughout.

5Dragonlord Placidusax
26,651 HP
A hidden remembrance boss that you face at the Crumbling Farum Azula, Dragonlord Placidusax, is from a time before the Lands Between, serving as Elden Lord before the Golden Order even existed.
Though we only see him in action with a couple of his heads missing,Placidusax still manages to pack a punch, with some high damage dealing and intense attacksthat can potentially one shot you if you’re not prepared enough. Since he’s an endgame boss, he boasts endgame HP as well, with health that exceeds that of even Godfrey.

4Malenia, Blade Of Miquella
33,251 HP
After hearing the name and title over and over again, you won’t be surprised to see Malenia, Blade of Miquella on this list. Though in her individual phases she has relatively less HP, she can heal with each attack that she lands on you, constantly resetting your progress if you’re bad at dodging.
Both her phases combined make her a strong contender for the highest HP as a boss for this game and the ones after edge out because there’s a special way of dealing with those bosses that makes their HP a secondary stat.

3Fire Giant
42,363 HP
Fire Giant is the last of its kind in Elden Ring, guarding the fire that could potentially burn the Erdtree and his size alone makes him look like a massive threat. Something as massive as the Fire Giant also has a massive health pool that can take forever to take down.
The boss fight isn’t as difficult as some other fights that are ranked lower, since there are some strategies that can make the fight potentially easier, but there’s no doubt that the Fire Giant, boasting the highest HP, also makes him one of the longest boss fights in the game.

2Greyoll
87,664 HP
Greyoll is an exception on this list because she isn’t what you would expect from a typical boss fight, but can be seen as a boss-level threat because of its high HP. The trick todefeating Greyoll is to defeat all the little Dragons around her, but there’s an alternate strategy too.
Greyoll doesn’t fight back, and she also doesn’t have a boss health bar, but by picking a good spot, you can continually damage her till she dies and reap the rewards of a boring fight. Her HP is the second highest in the game, and she also covers a massive portion of land in Caelid.

1Rykard, Lord Of Blasphemy
89,613 HP
Rykard is unexpectedly one of the easier demi-god boss fights, despite having the highest HP in Elden Ring for any boss. Even the endgame bosses pale in comparison to Rykard, and the only way to realistically defeat him is with the Serpent Hunter Spear.
Despite his high HP, it’s easy to fight Rykard if you time the attacks with the Serpent Hunter spear correctly. A lot of people consider the fight against Rykard as one of the best gimmick bosses FromSoftware has to offer, and rightfully so, since everything from the Arena, to the music makes the battle feel epic.
