Summary

Following another no show fromBloodborneduring last week’s State of Play showcase, fans have been trying to get over the disappointment by sharing the changes and quality of life improvements they’d like to see in a remaster or remake.

PlayStation’s recent State of Play showcase was a bit of a dismal affair, disappointing everyone with Concordandangering Silent Hill fans, withAstro Bot coming in at the final minuteto salvage the entire show. It was also yet another disappointing showcase for Bloodborne fans, who probably didn’t have very high hopes for the announcement of a PC port or remaster, but likely had their fingers crossed anyway.

It’s always fun to imagine what if, though, and the event most likelyspurred on fans on ResetErato share what changes and quality of life improvements they’d like to see from a potential remaster/remake, whenever PlayStation does finally decide to put us out of our misery.

Bloodborne Fans Want Better Fast Travel, Blood Vials, Frame Rate, And More In A Remake

Right away, you’ll see that one of the most requested changes to Bloodborne is the Blood Vial system. Users Lightsong, D, and JMS all recount how tedious it was to farm Blood Vials whenever they ran out, as Bloodborne is the only game apart from Demon’s Souls to make healing items a consumable item rather than a flask that recharges. Coupled with the lengthy load times on PS4, it’s a big frustration among fans that don’t like the grind.

Another source of frustration is Hunter’s Dream, as instead of having the ability to fast travel between checkpoints, Bloodborne forces players to go to Hunter’s Dream before then going to their desired destination. Again, it’s a massive pain in the butt due to the PS4’s long loading times, and the ability to fast travel between Lanterns would be a quality of life improvement that wouldn’t change much about the base game at all.

Those are the main two, though others have recommendations such as the ability to respec, the addition of working shields, a jump button akin to Elden Ring’s, and the graphics/frame rate improvements that would naturally come with a PS5/PC remaster. Of course,we first need to remind PlayStation that Bloodborne actually exists, nd that itself may be a task too great for us to manage.
