Summary

Kingdom Come: Deliveranceis one of the most immersive historical games on the market. Its rich world is filled with lovingly detailed renderings of 15th-century Bohemia, although its picturesque pastoral scenes are rife with political strife. The threat of war becomes a tangible reality, and you must save the day.

In the game, you control Henry, the sole survivor of a historically accurate raid upon the sleepy village of Skalice. Seeking vengeance and closure, you must arm yourself and train to restore the royal right of King Wenceslaus IV. However, not all weapons are created equally.

Henry holds a hunting spear while mounted. This action requires glitches.

9Hunting Spear — Spear

By numbers alone, spears and polearms are ridiculously overpowered. They have massive reach and can cut through crowds like butter. However, their potential is limited by their lack of portability. Henry cannot run or ride a horse while using either weapon class, and they cannot be added to your inventory.

Nonetheless, should you ever stumble across the hunting spear, be sure to grab it! With its122 stabbing damage, the hunting spear is the most efficient stabbing weapon in the game. It also boasts decent durability, although it’s not fit for slashing. Just be sure to drop your amazing weapon before re-entering a settlement, or you’ll anger the guards!

8Halberd — Polearm

Another polearm choice, the halberd, boasts similarly remarkable stats. It deals122 slashing damageand100 stabbing damage. Its length further boosts its utility, turning the already powerful weapon into a meat grinder.

Sadly, Henry can’t keep the halberd without using glitches. He also cannot run while wielding it, and it is impossible to sheathe the weapon. However, assuming you’re not in a rush and won’t re-enter polite Medieval Bavarian society anytime soon, you can opt to tote this massive cavalry weapon around for a while; it boasts plenty of durability.

7The Dagger — Unique Weapon

At first glance, the humble dagger is useless. It cannot be equipped and has no damage or defense stats. At 15 Groschen, it seems like little more than a cheap weight in your inventory. However, this humble item is invaluable for stealthy combat.

Upon reaching stealth level five, Henry gains the ability to stealthily stab his foes to death. However, these one-hit kills require a dagger in his inventory. Assuming these conditions are met, Henry gains an indestructible weapon to use on unsuspecting foes. This unique quirk also makes daggers a handy method for preserving your favorite weapon’s precious durability.

6Razor — Shortsword

Shortswords are the knight’s bread and butter. They’re lightweight, functional, and can be wielded with a shield. At the same time, they’re sizable enough for two-handed attacks when necessary. The razor is no different, boasting the highest slashing damage of its class. It also has a respectable46-point stabbing damage potential.

Its power is not for sale, though. Henry must battle his way through the Rattay Tourney to acquire this invaluable blade. Once he’s bested 18 foes, he receives the razor as his prize.

5The Stinger — Shortsword

The stinger is a well-rounded shortsword with sizable damage potential. It boasts79 stabbing damage— the highest of its class — and47 slashing damage. It even has formidable defense potential, offering76 points of defense. You’ll also find decent durability stats.

Interestingly, the stinger is one of the few inscribed weapons. Its blade is engraved in Latin, reading, “Ieseum habemus socium.” The English translation is, “Jesus is our friend.” However, its massive damage potential may contradict the congeniality of this versatile blade.

The Magdeburg Sword is silver with Latin inscriptions. The cross guard is slightly upturned.

4Magdeburg Sword — Longsword

The beauty of the Magdeburg sword is unparalleled. Its intricately engraved grip contrasts perfectly with its shining blade, upon which is a simple phrase: “Rex, Familia, Ultio” — “King, Family, and Vengence.”

It may seem strange to include a blade with a paltry57-point damageoutput, but the true power of this gorgeous weapon is its durability. With113 durability points, the Magdeburg sword is the most durable longsword Henry can find. Its “famed German precision” also affords it high defensive potential.

The Bailiff’s Mace on a cobblestone road.

3Bailiff’s Mace — Mace

As a blunt damage weapon, maces are formidable forces against all foes. A solid hit can easily ruin an enemy’s day, and a few sturdy blows to the head will end their day permanently. The bailiff’s mace takes that power literally, acting as “an instrument of justice” against any foe.

Strictly speaking, the bailiff’s mace is one of the most powerful, boasting61 blunt damage points. It can also be wielded one-handed, meaning Henry can protect himself with a sturdy shield. However, maces cannot deal combo damage. They lack the style of a classic sword, but they make up for it with incomparable utility.

2Ceremonial Mace — Mace

The ceremonial mace ties with the bailiff’s mace as the most powerful of its class. Both weapons deal61 blunt damageto enemies, but the gourd-shaped ceremonial variant is superior in every other way, including durability.

The ceremonial mace is a high-tier weapon. You won’t find many bandits running around with one, but you may get lucky enough to snag one from the armored encounters that continuously spawn in Skalitz.

Saint George’s Sword is a plain sword with a straight cross guard.

As the prize for winning the eighth Rattay Tourney fight, the ceremonial mace serves as your all-around damage-dealer. It smashes through all armor, and, as its flavor text aptly says, is the perfect way to “put dents in your opponent’s armor… or their head.” It’s also a lovely, stylish shade of silver, ensuring you’ll look great while you crack some skulls.

1Saint George’s Sword — Longsword

In-game, Saint George’s sword is rightfully described as “the best the 15th-century blacksmith’s art can produce.” This exclusive longsword cannot be bought. Henry must prove himself worthy by completing either a challenging treasure hunt or a series of brutal battles.

Though respectable, Saint George’s sword’s defense stat is far from the highest available. Its two-handed nature also prevents players from using shields while wielding this powerful blade. Fortunately, its massive damage means Henry can mow down foes before they can attack. In fact, it boasts the highest offensive stats of any longsword, dealing72 stabbing and slashing damage, although itis notthe most durable of its class.
