Dread Delusion offers a bit of a conundrum when it comes to weapons, and it mostly comes down to two things: higher-tier resources are remarkably rare, and you only get one, overwritable save file per playthrough. In other words, you’ll likely only fully upgrade one or two weapons, and once those resources are spent, they’re gone forever.

So, to hopefully avoid a situation where you fully upgrade a weapon and end up disliking it, you’re able to browse this catalog of sharp things, and if anything happens to catch your eye, rest assured they’ll deal plenty of damage to anyone, or anything in your way.

6Throwing Knife

Simple, But They Get The Job Done

The humble Throwing Knife is one of the first weapons you’ll find once you’ve stepped out of your prison cell. Sure, it’s basic and expendable, but they deal great damage to early game enemies, and there’s always a chance to pick up the ones you’ve flung.

If you want to reduce the amount of stamina or mana potions you’re going through, you can assign throwing knives as one of your quick-select items, and chuck them at your enemies between every spell cast or weapon swing. If you’d rather keep beating people over the head with a rusty sword though, that’s cool too.

5Poison Shuriken

Watch Later Game Enemies Wither Away

Shurikens tend to be the ranged weapon of choice for ninjas, but you don’t have to be one if you want to take advantage of the Poison Shuriken’s potent damage over time. As long as you have enough on hand, you’ll be able to whittle down any enemy.

While you can find or craft Poison Shurikens, if you’re looking to stockpile a bunch of them quickly, your best bet is hitting the seedier parts of various towns and marketplaces at night, like Hallow Town’s criminal underground, and buying them in bulk.

4Clockwork Dagger

This Dagger Has A Special Surprise

If you’re a big fan of getting the jump on your enemies under the cover of darkness, and you just got your hands on a rusty dagger, you can eventually upgrade it into a Clockwork Dagger, provided you have a chunk of Clockwork Ore on hand.

Clockwork Ore can be found to the south and southeast of the Clockwork Kingdom. Keep in mind one ore is only obtainable after getting a key from Oleg, which requires the completion of his quest.

The Clockwork Kingdom might have a malfunctioning, mechanical god, but they sure know how to make nifty weapons. You see, the Clockwork Dagger isn’t just capable of slicing or stabbing, it can transform into a pistol in real-time. Just… make sure you have ammo to shoot.

3Clockwork Greatsword

Reserved For The Coolest Sky Pirates

An upgraded greatsword is a great addition to any build, even magic users, simply because it has impeccable base damage. If you’re tired of getting up close and personal, though, you could always make a Clockwork Greatsword with some Clockwork Ore.

Going a step further than other, similar Clockwork-style weapons, this greatsword can be transformed into a cannon. Paired with your very own sky ship,you can easily live out your dreams of being a sky pirate, bombarding enemies from the side of your ship from a distance.

2Void Bow

Top-Tier Ranged Damage

Taking out enemies from a distance, especially without being detected, is a classic and effective playstyle that has emerged and persisted for quite some time; Khajiit stealth archer, anyone? If you’re looking for the highest lethality possible, though, your best bet is crafting a Void Bow.

With a hefty, 45 base damage, you’ll be hitting enemies hard, with most being unable to survive more than a couple of arrows. Paired with armor and gear that boosts attack damage, don’t become surprised if townspeople start worshiping you, instead of Paeguth or other, minor gods.

Void Ore can be obtained as a quest reward from the old veteran in Hallow Town, or found on a distant, god-war era island that’s only accessible if you have an airship.

1Void Greatsword

You’ll Be Lopping Off Limbs In No Time

If you enjoy getting up close and personal with enemies, look no further than the Void Greatsword. Paired with Emberian Armor, numerous points invested in the Might attribute, Speed Shoes for closing distances, and some Weightless Gloves to mitigate fatigue penalties, you’ll become unstoppable.

As for rings and other gear, most of that becomes pretty trivial; you’ll be doing so much damage per swing, enemies won’t have much of a chance to retaliate, if any, before they fall. In the end,even the mighty antagonistVela Calose won’t be able to best you.
