InPalworld, upgrading your equipment and building strong bases will not only make you stronger, but more capable of taking on a challenge. With the Sakurajima update, there’s even more to do. A new resource that can be gathered is Crude Oil, though it will take a decent amount of work to prepare your base for it.

How To Build The Crude Oil Extractor

The first step isreaching level 50and using your tech points tounlock the Crude Oil Extractor.By this time, you should be well into theendgame stages of Palworld, but it will still be challenging to get everything sorted out.

To build the Crude Oil Extractor, you’ll need50 Circuit Boardsand250 Pal Metal Ingots. Then, you’ll need to find a place where Crude Oil can be harvested. There are onlya handful of placesin the Palpagos Islands where this resource can be found, andmost of them are along Sakurajima’s shores.

You’ll know you canharvest Crude Oilif there’s a rocky patch on the ground with abubbling black liquid.

Once you build a new base and have everything ready, you’ll need toplace the Crude Oil Extractor on top of the oil node. It will take a while to build, so make sure tofill the base with Palswho can help!

How To Power The Crude Oil Extractor

Now that the Crude Oil Extractor is built, it needs electricity. Thestandard power generator won’t cut itanymore (and if you have to use them, you’ll need at least three). Instead,building a Large Power Generatoris in your best interest.

You’ll need200 Pal Metal Ingot and 200 Electric Organs, so it will take a while to prepare. Once it’s up, you’ll want to assign yourstrongest Electric Palsto the base to charge it up. The Crude Oil Extractor sucks up a lot of power, so you’ll need dedicated Pals to keep things running smoothly.

Orserk is a great Palto use, and you’ll want several.

As long as the Crude Oil Extractor has power,it will produce Crude Oil. You’ll know it’s working when the machine says thatit’s online and you see the machine moving.

Finding Oil In Junkyard Piles

Alternatively, you canfind Crude Oil in Supply Drops. When you get the alert that a Supply Drop is nearby,head on over and defeat whatever faction is guarding it.

Occasionally, there will bea shipment of Crude Oil inside the container. While not a guaranteed way to reliably find Crude Oil, it does helpsupplement the amountyou harvest at your base.
