Summary

Stamina is probably the least thought-of ofElden Ring’s three main stats. Naturally, losing all of your HP kills you, and FP is the fuel for the game’s most powerful abilities. Stamina might even get less attention than the other statistic governed by Endurance, Equip Load.

At the same time, running out of Stamina at exactly the wrong moment is a surefire way to end up dead. Luckily, the Lands Between contains many ways to make certain that doesn’t happen. Here are the best tools at your disposal for boosting your Stamina.

Pickled Turtle Neck Consumable Elden Ring

Increases Stamina recovery speed by ten per second

Duration

Sixty seconds

Pickled Turtle Neckprovides a massive increase to your Stamina recovery speed, but only for a limited time. A minute is long enough to give you a decent advantage, but not so long that it won’t occasionally run out on you at an inopportune moment.

Great Turtle Shell Shield Elden Ring

This item can be found in a few places in the Lands Between, but you can also craft it yourself using the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [3], which is sold by the Nomadic Merchant you can find just across the bridge from the Saintsbridge Site of Grace, in Limgrave. Unfortunately, you do need to kill helpless turtles to complete the recipe.

The Pickled Turtle Neck and the Greenburst Crystal Tear are the only items on this list that don’t stack with each other.

Viridian Amber Medallion, Viridian Amber Medallion +1, and Viridian Amber Medallion +2 Talismans Elden Ring

Increases Stamina recovery speed by three per second

Indefinite

TheGreat Turtle Shellisn’t particularly good at being a Shield, providing poor defenses against basically every damage type. What it is good at is being a passive Stamina recovery booster, essentially filling the same role as the Grass Crest Shield from the Dark Souls games.

At 5.5 Weight, it’s not exactly light, but it’s not as heavy as you would expect either, which means carrying it on your back while two-handing a weapon is a perfectly viable strategy. you’re able to grab the Shell on the Weeping Peninsula; it’s atop a tower near the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace and can be reached either from the nearby cliffs or by using a Spiritspring.

Greenspill Crystal Tear Elden Ring

Increases Stamina by 10/13/15 percent

TheViridian Amber Medallionis quite possibly the most basic way to boost your Stamina beyond increasing your Endurance. There are three versions of the Talisman, each more powerful than the last, allowing you to have a relevant Stamina boost as you progress through the game (although percentage-based boosts are better in the late game).

Greenburst Crystal Tear Elden Ring

The first variant of this Talisman is dropped byMiranda the Blighted Bloomin the Tombsward Cave on the Weeping Peninsula, and the second version many people will run into naturally, as it drops from the Margit illusion in the Leyndell Capital outskirts. Unfortunately, the highest-tier variant is going to be trickier to get, since it’s hidden in a chest in Miquella’s Haligtree, near the Haligtree Town Plaza Site of Grace.

Increases Stamina by fifteen percent

Green Turtle Talisman Elden Ring

Three minutes

TheGreenspill Crystal Tearonly lasts for a limited time, but three minutes is long enough for most purposes. There are Crystal Tears that will perform better for specific builds, but increasing Stamina is a solid general-use option.

Erdtree’s Favor, Erdtree’s Favor +1, and Erdtree’s Favor +2 Talismans Elden Ring

That said, other options on this list increase your Stamina by the same amount and don’t take up space in your Flask of Wondrous Physick. Still, this Crystal Tear is one of the first you can find; it’s on an altar in the Mistwood, next to the Minor Erdtree.

Increases Stamina recovery speed by fifteen percent

Radahn’s Great Rune Elden Ring with black bachground

TheGreenburst Crystal Tearis the recovery counterpart to the Greenspill Crystal Tear, increasing the speed at which you regain Stamina, rather than giving you more of it. The later the game goes, the more likely you are to have all the base Stamina you need, which makes recovery more important.

As a result, the fact that you can’t get it quite as early as the Greenspill version isn’t a huge deal. Even so, you don’t need to go far; the Greenburst Crystal Tear is dropped by a Putrid Avatar at a Minor Erdtree in Caelid, east of the Smoldering Church.

Increases Stamina recovery speed by eight per second

TheGreen Turtle Talismanprovides the highest permanent recovery boost you can get. For Dark Souls veterans, it’s the Chloranthy Ring from those games—a highly efficient boost for what is a fairly low opportunity cost.

And the increase, while lower than some of the others on this list, is significant, especially considering howearly in the gameyou can get this Talisman. It’s in the Summonwater Village, in Limgrave. You will need a Stonesword Key to get inside, but that’s a low price to pay for this solid little item.

Increases Stamina, HP, and Equip Load

TheErdtree’s FavorTalisman is one of the most versatile Talismans in the game and is especially potent later on in your journey, largely because it doesn’t raise Endurance, but rather improves the two stats it governs separately. As a result, it doesn’t run into soft cap issues, instead getting better the higher both your base Stamina and max Equip Load get.

Three versions of this Talisman can be acquired at various points in the game; the first you can get almost immediately, but requires delving into the dangerous Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, and the second is in a chest in the same room as Mohg, the Omen in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. The final version cannot be obtained until you cover Leyndell in ash, where it’s guarded by three Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirits in the main courtyard (fortunately, you don’t actually need to fight them).

Increases Stamina, HP, and FP by fifteen percent

Until death

Radahn’s Great Runeis arguably thebest Great Runefor high-level characters. Godrick’s is better early on before you have reached the softcaps for your stats. Once you do, percentage-based increases are significantly better, and fifteen percent for three different stats is a massive bonus.

Farming for Rune Arcs is a real pain, though, so if you find yourself dying too often, you’ll quickly lose the Great Rune’s benefits. To get it in the first place, you need tokill Radahn, but to actually use it you’ll have to head to the Divine Tower of Caelid and restore it.
