Summary
The Green Rain Event inStardew Valleyoccurs once each summer, with the possibility of happening on a few different days. During this time, a translucent green visual effect is seen at all times. Outside, there are huge amounts of weeds, Green Rain trees and bushes, and mossy seeds.

10Evelyn and George
The Cutest Couple
EvelynandGeorgehave an incredibly touching interaction during the Green Rain Event. You have to wander into their house to discover them, because unlike other townspeople sitting in the saloon, Evelyn, George, and Alex stay at home.
Evelyn is worried that this is the end of times, and is scared to leave Alex behind. George reassures her that everything is going to be okay, even giving us insight into his past; it’s a sweet interaction that shows why they’re so in love.
9Emily
Ever The Optimist
Emilyis one of the few villagers who seems to understand the magic of the valley. When you talk to her during the Green Rain Event, she says that there has to be a meaning behind it, and nature is probably trying to tell us something.
Afterward, Emily says she can’t tell what it is, and wonders about the reasoning for the event. She ends the dialogue by telling you that she feels a strong presence, but it’s unclear if this is a hint at why the event happened from ConcernedApe, or ifEmily is just reading into things.
8Haley
At Peace
Haleyis completely unbothered by the Green Rain; she grins when you approach, talking more about the saloon itself than the event outside. She mentions that the saloon is cozier than she expected.
If you continue to talk to her, she tells you that she’s unworried by the rain, and is sure that it will pass. It’s nice to see someone so at ease during the event, and just having a good time as it develops.
7Demetrius
The Exploring Scientist
The coolest reaction to the event isDemetrius’. Unlike all other villagers, he’s outside collecting samples, and he even gets a new outfit, which is the cherry on top of his perfect response.
you may find Demetrius outside his house, on the right-hand side, knee-deep in weeds. He tells you that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for samples, and then asks you to tell his wife that he’s okay.
6Sebastian
Forever Chill
Sebastianand his mom are very close, and this dialogue proves that. When you first talk to Sebastian, he mentions that his mom is nervous about the Green Rain; however, Sebastian admits that he enjoys it and that he betsthe frogs aregoing wild.
Even though Sebastian wants to go out and explore, he decides to stay inside to help keep his mom calm. It’s truly a testament to how much he cares about her.
5Willy
Ever The Seaman
Willyholes up in the Saloon, worried about his fish. He comments that the rain is strange, he’s worried it will bother them and then goes on to say that it could ruin his life, the poor guy.
We know that Willy absolutely loves his fish, but it’s sweet that when something strange happens, Willy cares more about his fish than anything else.
4Clint
The Lost Lover
At first, it seems likeClintis having an incredibly mature reaction to the Green Rain event. He discusses how situations like this show a person’s true character, which is surprising for him.
Of course, he ruins it by saying he’ll keep Emily safe from the toxic rain about two seconds later. Even though it’s annoying that Clint is so obsessed with Emily, this makes the list because this response evokesan emotional reaction, even if it’s just anger.
3Linus
The Wisest Of Them All
Linushas one of the most unique reactions to the event. He mentions that all of these strange trees will be gone tomorrow, and then tells the farmer that it is one of the mysteries of nature.
Interestingly, Linus seems to have insight into the Green Rain and an understanding that the other villagers don’t. Unlike Demetrius, he doesn’t cover his body in fear of the rain, but simply stands outside, enjoying it, making him wiser than we give him credit for.
2Sam
Shocked Brother
Sam is shockedby the Green Rain, and comments that he is worried that it is acid and that it’s going to burn through the roof and sizzle his family alive.
In a sweet moment,Samthen says he has to keep his little brother safe. We don’t see a lot of interaction between the two brothers, so it is a wonderful insight into their relationship.
1Abigail
The Loving Daughter
Abigailis a very curious person, and her reaction to the Green Rain Event proves that. She mentions that she wants to go exploring, but she can tell her mom is worried, so she decides to stay inside to not add to her stress.
Abigail has a hot and cold relationship with her parents, but this dialogue just shows how much she does care about her mother, and how important that relationship is to her.
