Summary
As a basis, your team inWuthering Wavesshould consist of three elements: A main DPS, aka your primary damage dealer, a sub-DPS, which will provide support for and boost your main DPS, and a healer (for obvious reasons).
Given that Wuthering Waves lets you pick a free five-star character from the main banner and is pretty generous with the Convenes, you should be able to assemble your team relatively quickly. For the most part, the healers are pretty interchangeable, but there are a few cases where one is definitively better than the other, mostly due to their specific outro skill.

Verina
Healer, Spectro Damage
This combo might be difficult to get your hands on, but it’s a powerhouse composition. Calcharo would function are your main DPS, given that he fights quickly and deals a significant amount of damage. While Yinlin could work as a main DPS,she functions best as a sub-DPS because her Punishment Marks stay, even after switching characters, and her outro move will best support Calcharo’s attacks.
Verina is an excellent healer, working best in quick swaps to keep both Yinlin and Calcharo on the offense. Verina’s outro skill, Blossom, allows her to heal the character you swapped with for 19 percent of her attack for six seconds. Given that Calcharo will be present on the battlefield a lot, her passive healing will be incredibly useful.

Is it really a surprise that Calcharo is a great main DPS? He’s not great at support, so keeping him at the front of your team is your best bet for success. Sanhua, on the other hand, provides excellent support. Check-in every day for five days and you can get your hands on her for free.
Sanhua’s outro skill will give the swapped-to character 38 percent more damage for 14 seconds. If Calcharo wasn’t a powerhouse before, he would definitely be one now. As for your healer, it doesn’t matter whether you pick Baizhi or Verina, so long as you verify you have a healer on your team. Both Baizhi and Verina’s outro skills work well with this team composition.

If you like having teams that are absolutely broken and you’re lucky enough to get your hands on Jiyan, you should set up this team as soon as possible. Jiyan functions as your main DPS dealing heavy amounts of damage with both his standard and heavy attacks.
Mortefi works to buff Jiyan with his outro skill, increasing Jiyan’s heavy attack damage.Verina, while a great healer, also gives you a temporary boost to your elemental damage. This works to not only boost Mortefi but to boost Jiyan as well, so you get two boosts for the price of one. To put it simply, this time is not to be trifled with, and they let Jiyan absolutely shine on the battlefield.

Baizhi
Healer, Glacio Damage
In some settings, Danjin works all right as a sub-DPS, but she really does shine when you situate her as your main, with Jianxin to back her up. Jianxin is an all-around great character to play with, but she has some excellent defense stats and buffs, which makes her a wonderful sub-DPS and support character for Danjin.
In this setup, you will probably only be fighting with Danjin, utilizing Jianxin’s shield and Verina or Baizhi’s healing to make sure that she stays alive. This is, fundamentally, the easiest way to build a tank-type team composition. You should have a pretty easy time taking on higher-level enemies and bosses throughout Huanglong.

Support and Sub-DPS, Havoc Damage
If you happen to get Taoqi on your team, you should absolutely situate her as your main DPS, given that her Havoc damage can absolutely wipe out enemies with the right support set up. Pairing her with Danjin as her sub-DPS will allow Danjin to enhance Taoqi’s Havoc damage while also enhancing her own abilities.

It doesn’t particularly matter which healer you put on your team, so long as someone is there to buff and heal. While Verina does boost elemental damage, you’re primarily relying on Havoc damage for this team comp, so it won’t have much of a visible effect.
Support and Healing, Glacio Damage

If you’re looking to explore the wilds, you best situate yourself with Aalto, Baizhi, and Rover. While you’ll probably want to swap this team out before you get into combat, it’s still good if you find yourself in a pinch. Aalto’s skills will let you move faster, making exploration all the easier and more fun.
Rover, on the other hand, works great as your main DPS should end up in any unfortunate fights. If you have somedecent weapons, like the ones on the Battle Pass, however, you should do just fine. Having a healer on this team is a necessity, given that it would absolutely suck to have your exploration team die in the middle of exploring.
Sometimes the gacha just isn’t in your favor and the Convene won’t give you the characters you so desperately want. Fortunately, you’re able to have a pretty decent team composition that’s completely free. Chixia, Yanyang, and Baizhi are all gained from just playing through the story.
In this case, Chixia would function as your main DPS, with Yangyang as attack support, and Baizhi as your healer. Yangyang is a necessity, however — in this setup, there is no substitution for Yangyang. Her outro ability, Whispering Breeze, recovers four Resonance Energy over four seconds for the swapped-in character.
While Yangyan may not be a heavy hitter herself, she certainly lets you hit harder faster. Baizhi is just the only free healer, so she’s pretty much a given in this team set-up.
