If you’ve added the leader of the Temple of Silence to your team inGenshin Impact, then you may be wondering which characters are best to join him. Fair warning,Sethosworks best onAggravateandHyperbloomteams, so expect to see a fair few Hydro and Dendro characters in this list.
Sethos is a four-star electro bowcharacter who hails fromSumeru. Within the story, he’s the former vessel ofHermanubis- whose power now resides inCyno. Sethos was added to the game in the4.7 update.
Sethos works best as amain-DPS, meaning you’ll want to set him up withsub-DPSandsupportcharacters in order to deal the most damage. He scales withElemental Mastery, so single element teams won’t utilize him to his full potential, and you’ll do a lot of your damage through elemental reactions.
He is also able to deal damage tomultiple targets at once, something that bow characters don’t always excel at doing. However, his full-charged shots cause him to beunable to move,and newer players may opt to have shielders or healers to keep him safe.
Aggravate Team 1: Gacha
As your main damage dealer, Sethos needs to spend themost amount of timeon the field out of everyone in your party. Theaggravatereaction happens when an enemy who is hit withElectroandDendrois hit byElectroagain. Therefore, you need characters who have strongelemental application. BothNahidaandRaiden Shogunhave strong elemental application with their elemental skill and burst respectively.Nahidaalso scales off ofElemental Mastery, meaning even more damage dealt from your elemental reactions.
Kazuhais the finishing touch for your team, with the addition ofAnemoallowing for theSwirlreaction to do even more damage. In addition to this, Sethos consumes a lot of elemental energy, so if you have Raiden’sC6 constellation, you can get Sethos’burst cooldown reduced.
With two electro characters on your team, you’ll benefit from additionalelemental particleswhenever you execute aSuperconduct,Overloaded,Electro-Charged,Quicken,Aggravate, orHyperbloomreaction - which works well asSethos uses a lot of energy.
To make the best use of Sethos, it’s advised to have hisC6in order to improve his energy usage. In addition, hisC4will give all party members moreElemental Mastery, so this will up your damage too.
Action
Raiden Shogun
Start by using Raiden’s Elemental skill, as this will give all of your attacks an electro follow-up.
Nahida
Immediately use Nahida’s Elemental skill, holding the button down to target as many enemies as possible.
Kaedehara Kazuha
Follow up with Kazuha’s elemental skill, plunging attack, and then his Elemental Burst.
Sethos
Upon switching to Sethos, immediately use his burst. Follow up with his skill to retreat away from the enemy and then spam empowered normal attacks.
If the enemies you’re fighting are spread out, you can swap Nahida and Kazuha in this rotation to use Kazuha’s skill to pull them closer together.
A good option forF2Pplayers is utilizing one of Genshin’s bestelectrosupports,Fischl. Using her at C6, her elemental skill allows all of your normal attacks to do additional electro damage - similar to Raiden Shogun. In addition to this, herC5means that whenever you trigger an electro reaction, enemies will be hit with an attack equal to80 percent of Fischl’s ATK.
Collei makes a good addition to your team, with her kit providing a good amount ofDendro application- which is needed for anaggravateteam. In addition to this, her elemental burst has a wide area of effect - meaning you won’t miss out by not having a crowd control character on your team. HerC4will be hugely beneficial for this team, as it will increase everyone’sElemental Masterywhenever she usesTrump-Card Kitty.
Having Collei’sC2is a must, as it improves on all of her qualities as a sub-dps - namely by introducing thesprouteffect. This deals40 percent of Collei’s attack as Dendro damageto nearby opponents and this effect is extended whenever you create anaggravatereaction.
The addition ofYaoyaonot only improves the team’sDendro application, but also acts as a F2P friendly healer to ensure your team has a better chance of surviving.
Yaoyao needs to remain on-field after using her Burst, or the additional Yuegui’s she summons will disappear.
You should have bothC2andC4activated forYaoyao, as these will aid in herEnergy Rechargeand Dendro application respectively. It’s also recommended to have her with a weapon that scales off of energy recharge, like theFavonius Lance.
Collei
Start by using Collei’s Elemental Ekill and then immediately use her Elemental Burst.
Summon Oz using Fischl’s Elemental Skill.
Yaoyao
Switch to Yaoyao and throw out Yuegui using her Elemental Skill.
Finish with Sethos' burst. Follow up with his skill to retreat away from the enemy and then spam empowered normal attacks.
Hyperbloom Team 1: Gacha
Furinais an incredibly diverse character who can deal huge amounts ofhydro damageand apply the element to the enemy without being on the field. Additionally, she can also step in as a healer in a pinch. If you’re lucky enough to have herC4, then she allows for extra healing, and you could probably swap outBaizhufor a sub-DPS such asNahida.
Furina works best with another healer, due to her Elemental Skill increasing in damage if she’s able to steal HP from all of your team. Since she stops doing this when everyone is at 50% health, she required a second healer to make the most of her kit.
Baizhuworks well with Sethos as he provides a bit more stability in the form of both ashield and healing,particularly if you use one of Sethos’charged shotsand find yourself unable to move. To make the most use out of Baizhu, it’s recommended to have his C4 in order to increase the team’s elemental mastery whenever he usesHolistic Revivification.
Begin your rotation by using Raiden Shogun’s elemental skill.
Furina
Switch to Furina and summon her Salon Solitaire using her elemental skill.
Baizhu
Next, move to Baizhu and use his Elemental Burst to make a shield, quickly followed by his Elemental Skill.
Finish with Sethos' burst. Follow up with his skill and then spam empowered normal attacks. When Baizhu’s Elemental Skill runs out, you can switch back to him to use it again.
Hyperbloom Team 2: Free-To-Play
This team is built all around supporting Sethos to the max. Beginning withDendro Traveler, who acts as astrong F2P off-field DPS. Although this character more than any on the team benefits from having constellations, it’s theC4that is the best to have. This will give your team additional Elemental Mastery whenever you trigger aLotus Lampconfiguration.
Dendro Traveler can be obtained by resonating with a Statue of the Seven in Sumeru.
Xingqiu is a strong addition to any team, thanks to hisstellar hydro applicationfrom his Elemental Burst. If you’ve got his C6, this will give you moreEnergy Recharge- something Xingqiu needs a lot of in order to have easy access to his Burst.
Dori is essentially a battery for the team, with her kit being built aroundsupplying strong energy rechargeto teammates. With her C4 unlocked, you unlock even more support abilities includingincreasing healing received and energy recharge.
Use Dori’s Elemental Burst to summon the Jinni.
Traveler
Quickly switch to Traveler and use their Elemental Skill followed by their Burst.
Immediately use Xingqiu’s burst.
Finish with Sethos' burst. Follow up with his skill and then spam empowered normal attacks.
