Persona 3 Reload’s Theurgies add some new depth to the members of S.E.E.S. Each character has a unique special move that allows them to deal devastating damage to enemies. However, this only applies to the first Theurgy a character receives.

Once a member of S.E.E.S has evolved their initial Persona, they’ll receive a second Theurgy to utilize. These new moves are more diverse, allowing the characters to stand out far more. From Yukari causing the party’s next magic attack to deal double damage to Ken’s ability to revive the entire team, the second Theurgies are the pinnacle of what these characters can do.

Aigis Preparing to Launch of Athena’s Shield

7Maximum Firepower

Aigis

After resolving to live for herselfin a cutscene, Aigis' Persona evolves into Athena. With this, she gains a new Theurgy. Maximum Firepower deals severe Pierce damage to one foe. On the bright side, charging Aigis' Theurgy is as simple as using physical skills.

Considering this, you’re likely going to have access to it often. However, damage is all it offers. Unlike other Theurgies, it doesn’t have any extra effects and exclusively serves as a way to damage foes.

Junpei Standing Back to Back With Chidori

6Blaze Of Life

Junpei Iori

In a beautiful display of his connection with Chidori, Junpei’s new Theurgy is a sight to behold. Blaze of Life deals massive fire damage to one foe and completely heals Junpei. The healing benefits of this Theurgy increase Junpei’s survivability, especially when combined with his use of Marakukaja to boost his defense.

The downside is that charging his Theurgy faster requires landing crits, something that is luck-based. While Junpei’s trait increases his critical hit rate, the chance is never 100 percent. Blaze of Life also can’t take advantage of Junpei’s high attack stat or crit rate due to being of the fire element.

Mitsuru Reaching Her Glowing Hand Forward

5Blade Of Execution

Mitsuru Kirijo

Once she resolves to fight in memory of her father, Mitsuru obtains her second Theurgy. Blade of Execution is a massive almighty attack that lowers all stats of one foe. Giventhe importance of debuffs and ailmentsin Persona games, guaranteeing them on an enemy makes Mitsuru excel against bosses.

The issue is the element. Unlike Blizzard Edge, Blade of Execution can’t benefit from Mitsuru’s ice boost passive. Due to this, the Theurgy could end up dealing less damage overall. Still, its utility can’t be understated.

Akihiko Standing Alongside Ceaser

4Electric Onslaught

Akihiko Sanada

Akihiko’s single-target Theurgy is Electric Onslaught. While dealing severe electric damage to one foe is useful, Electric Onslaught’s real upside is having a high chance of inflicting shock. This status condition may prevent a target from attacking on their next turn.

Akihiko’s charge condition also works exceptionally well with his trait. His Theurgy charges faster whenever he begins a turn with a stat buff. Combine that with his trait, allowing him to benefit from buffs more than the rest of the party, and he’ll often have this powerful option. You would want to buff your characters' stats anyway, which benefits you in multiple ways.

Ken Rasing His Spear into the Air While Surrounded by Light

3Devine Intervention

Ken Amada

Ken’s new Theurgy is several support skills rolled into one. Devine Intervention allows Ken to heal the party entirely as well as revive any downed teammates and create a barrier to reflect physical and magical damage. What makes this such a good Theurgy is its sheer versatility.

you’re able to save your team during a hard fight, reflect a boss’s attack for free, and save Ken’s SP. The one issue is his charge condition requires Ken to be low on SP. The issue comes from his trait that restores Ken’s SP a little each turn, causing these aspects to conflict.

Fuuka Looking into a Ball of Water

2Tranquility & Power Howling

Yukari Takeba & Koromaru

These two are together since their Theurgies are inverses of each other. With tranquility and Power Howling, you cause the entire party’s next magic or physical attack to deal twice as much damage, respectively. You could typically only do this if the character already has the Charge or Concentrate skill. With these Theurgies, however, Yukari and Koromaru allow every character to fight at their maximum potential.

It also saves on SP since Theurgies do not cost any. Both characters have easy charge requirements for their Theurgies. Yukari must heal, which she often does, while Koromaru has to strike a weakness. Yukari notably has a great trait, halving the cost of her support skill, making building her Theurgy cost almost nothing.

1Revelation

Fuuka Yamagishi

Fuuka’s new Theurgy doesn’t change much from her original. It still offers the party a random buff or positive effect. However, the types of effects granted are where this Theurgy shines. Fuuka maintains her ability to buff the party’s stats while gaining some new possible benefits. Fuuka can now possibly heal all HP and SP and grant a party-wide Charge and Concentrate.

The bane of a long run through Tartarus is running low on SP and needing to leave, so Fuuka granting a free restore to the entire party is immensely helpful. In addition, you don’t need to use a turn buffing yourself with a Charge or Concentrate since Fuuka allows everybody both. The best part is, since she isn’t actively in the fight, you can use her Theurgy whenever you’d like. This action does not cost a turn. While you can’t receive all these buffs during the same use, Revelation is a reliable skill tohelp your friends.
