You’ll come across many worlds inSaGa Emerald Beyond, with Grelon being a recurring one. Here, you’ll find that an entire village is frozen over, save for a single boy with a box of matches. He can’t thaw out everyone, so you’ll have to pick who to save in pursuit of your goals.
There are consequences for your choices, and this is especially true in Grelon. Multiple endings are possible, and it all depends on who you choose to save from the ice. You’ll need a bit of help to reach a better ending, unless you want the people of Grelon to remain encased in ice forever.
Who Should You Save?
When you arrive in Grelon,the entire population is frozensolid – save for one boy, named Alexandre. He hasa handful of matchesand tells you aboutthe last emperor’s curseto freeze everyone down to their cold hearts for letting him die a slow death.
Using Alexandre’s matches, you cansave some of the peoplein Grelon.
Who you save willimpact the fate of Grelon, but the way you go about this is different than you’d think. It may seem like a good idea tothaw out researchers and historians, but there are other individuals that should be thawed out as well.
Each person you unfreeze willawaken from a dream, and that dream is either pleasant or terrible.Good dreams about the final emperorwill lead to abetter ending for the townwhile bad dreams will lead to a darker,melancholy ending to Grelon’s story.

For this reason, it’s best that you adhere to only waking those with good dreams or those with bad dreams consecutively to get your desired outcome.
Keep in mind that youonly have eight matchestotal, so you can’t save everyone.
Spoiler alert!If you want to completely avoid one of the bad endings, do not unfreeze Leia at all.

How To Confront The Final Emperor
When you’re out of matches, you can still try to save everyone by confronting the final emperor. To do so, you’ll need toagree to help Alexandrewhen he asks, instead of leaving to focus on your own goal.
Go toinvestigate the final emperor’s palace, where you’ll find a freezing seal. Depending on who you’ve unfrozen, you’ll be prompted tospeak with different peopleabout the seal andhow to break it.
Regardless of your choices, you’ll need tofind several artifact piecesby searching Grelon and fighting off fiends. Once you have all the pieces, and once youlearn the thawing seal, return to the gate. From there, you’llsolve the Ritgram for the Ice Palace Gatesthen enter the palace.
Don’t forget to lower the ladder once you’re inside so you can easily move around Grelon!
After you break the seal,go to the palace to confront the final emperor! Depending on your choices, you’ll getone of multiple endingsthat will shape the fate of Grelon.
