Whether it’s a powerful witch, the replica of a god, a devoted servant, or a cluster of cats, there are plenty of characters to encounter and add to your party in SaGa Emerald Beyond. Since you choose your own adventure, some of them can be missable, but hopefully once you hear of them, you’ll keep your eyes peeled for them in their world.
8Boh
While Boh can be recruited immediately with Tsunanori Mido, Ameya Aisling can also recruit him. He’s a Kugutsu with a sharp eye and a pistol, which makes him an invaluable ally. Aside from the fact that he’s an animated doll, he has abilities that are invaluable in combat.
What he lacks in screen time he makes up for in personality. His wit and humorous quips breaks the tension, and his loyalty knows no bounds. you’re able to rely on him to support you in combat and pursue your goals til the bitter end.
7Shinobu Kato
The Witchdom of Pulchra doesn’t allow men to be witches and use magic, but they are nonetheless capable defenders. Shinobu appears as a loyal and determined ally for Ameya, and he takes his responsibilities seriously. Failure is not an option, and he remains stoic to limit how much his emotions influence his actions.
Finely dressed and formal to a fault, Shinobu Kato would lay down his life to ensure no harm befell his charge. He works diligently to protect the witches of Pulchra and assist them with whatever they need, to whatever end.
6Lolo
Who doesn’t want a sassy talking cat to accompany them across worlds? This feline companion teams up with Ameya from the very beginning and remains by her side throughout. Despite his reluctance to break from rules and tradition, he accepts that exceptions can be made – of out sight, of course.
Aside from that, Lolo can unleash and absorb fiends in combat to use powerful techniques. While terrifying at first, absobring abilities like this can’t be underestimated. It’s worth investing in Lolo’s development as you progress, as he makes for a valuable ally.
5Wednesday
Wednesday is immediately recruitable as Diva No. 5, and she’s a bright spot in a dark narrative. Her vibrant nature and exciting personality make her a cheery ally in combat. She’s heavily armored and deal a lot of damage. Her higher LP allows her to remain in your retinue longer if knocked out before needed to be switched with another character.
Her quirky personality shows when she gains a boost in stats, revealing a softer and less intimidating side of her when compared to how she is in combat. Her tough exterior is a front to an excitable and lively woman.
4Imakoo
As werewolf, Imakoo is a dependable ally. you may either recruit him immediately as Diva No. 5 or you can find him in Yomi, but he’s a loyal friend and a powerful beast to fight with. He can help you fight against the vampire king’s wardens.
Recruiting him in Yomi is easily missable, but once he joins your retinue, he can absorb fiends and use their abilities against them. You may not even realize he’s a werewolf at first, but his towering frame is undeniably fearsome.
3Macha
If you can’t have a goddess in your party, what’s the next best thing? A copy of that goddess! Macha steps in to help Ameya during her witchterms, but later a copy appears to continually assist the young aspiring witch. Her frilly design masks the powerful abilities she holds as a replica.
While only possessing a fraction of the real goddess’s power, Macha’s replica has all the personality. She’s a great addition to any retinue and adds a pop of color to darker worlds. Her encouraging nature inspires you to keep going and growing.
2Lita
The witches in SaGa Emerald Beyond are a breath of fresh air, and Lita is one of the best ones. Her calm and mature nature make her a perfect ally for Tsunanori Mido, yet she compliments his chill demeanor by questioning everything.
Her whimsical design emphasizes her magical presence, and her battle prowess is considerable. Using strong spells to combat fiends and a sword to deal melee attacks, she can adapt to many situations. Recruiting Lita isn’t hard at all, and it’s part of what makes her a wonderful ally!
1Dolores
By far, the best character to recruit is Dolores. As a loyal servant of the Dismal King, she’s a great ally to have. Her fierce determination and personality make her a pleasure to work with, and her design stands out among all other recruitable characters.
Her devotion to the Dismal King can transfer to Tsunanori Mido, who she serves faithfully in combat and offers helpful advice while fighting the Wardens. Beyond that, she has unique abilities and can deal lots of damage to fiends in battle. Life is certainly brighter with Dolores at your side.
