World of Warcraft has seen an immense resurgence in popularity over the last couple of years. While the Shadowlands expansion got a decent bit of flack, Dragonflight has been a resounding success. Paired with the exceptionally popular Season of Discovery, the recent release of Cataclysm Classic, and sillier game modes like Plunderstorm and Mists of Pandaria: Remix, there’s rarely been so much to do in the game!

If you’re feeling the surge of excitement and want to add a few bits of merch to your collection, we’re here to help you out. We’ve gathered some of our favorite pieces of WoW merch together in this piece, from books to figures. Enjoy!

World Of Warcraft 26" Lich King Premium Statue

Need to be the new Lord of the Damned, or just want to display him? This 26" statue depicts the Lich King Arthas Menethil in all his horrific splendor.

If you’ve been looking for a showstopper for your collection, the Arthas statue is the first place to look. This 26" statue comes with untouchable detail, hand-sculpted and hand-painted for the most beautiful statue you’re able to find.

The cover of the World of Warcraft novel Chronicle: Volume 4

Standing atop the decaying bodies of his corpse soldiers, the Lord of the Scourge commands from on high with Frostmourne in hand. We won’t be gentle, though - that price tag is a hefty price to pay. It isn’t quite Longboi pricing, but it’s not far off.

World Of Warcraft Chronicle: Volume 4

Hot off the presses

Looking to set the lore straight? Chronicle: Volume 4 looks at everything between Mists of Pandaria to Shadowlands to help set a solid canon.

World of Warcraft - Chronicle Volume 1

I’ll be the first person to defend the Shadowlands expansion no matter how many angry comments I get for doing it, but man is it hard to keep track of how much lore was shifted, retconned, or ignored in that expansion. It’s a good thing we have the Chronicle series to help us make sense of it all.

Chronicle: Volume 4 covers five expansions, stretching from Mists of Pandaria all the way to Shadowlands. This is the latest in the series and may be the last one for a while, so get it while it’s hot.

World of Warcraft - New Flavors of Azeroth - The Official Cookbook

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1

See the world of World of Warcraft

Pitched as the “Warcraft Book of Cain,” this collection of stories is Blizzard’s first volume in setting the lore straight and canonizing the many stories. These volumes are a great place to learn the lore and understand what is or isn’t canon.

Bicycle World of Warcraft Premium Special Edition Playing Cards

After twenty years, it’s understandable that some of World of Warcraft’s lore has gotten a bit messy. Back around 2012, the company saw fit to work on fixing this issue by collecting all of the canon and condensing it into a series of books. These books, later called the Chronicle volumes, are equivalent to Diablo’sBook of Cainseries - a fact that was pitched by Metzen himself in the book’s announcement.

We’ve chosen the first of three volumes to feature here, but consider this our endorsement for the entire series. If you’re a reading enthusiast who wants to learn the most they can of the world of World of Warcraft, reading through the Chronicles is a great place to start. Each focuses on different topics and were wildly popular with fans, and are also full of maps, extras, rich paintings, and more. The only downside is that Blizzard doesn’t seem keen on releasing more volumes despite the third (and currently final) volume ending with a tantalizing “To be continued.” Still, there’s plenty to learn from these three volumes!

World of Warcraft: New Flavors of Azeroth - The Official Cookbook

Taste the flavors of Azeroth

Have you ever been eating stat-food in World of Warcraft and wondered what it would taste like in real life? With dozens of recipes and nearly 200 pages, this cookbook can help you answer that question!

A promotional image for the McFarlane Orc action figure.

Plenty of games and franchises have come out with cookbooks over the last decade or so. Some of these are a bit confusing, such as releases from franchises that don’t actually feature food as an in-game mechanic (looking at you, Diablo). But anyone who’s so much as started a character in World of Warcraft knows how crucial food is, from vital stat buffs to just recovering your health between fights. Why else would we keep mages around?

The New Flavors of Azeroth cookbook is ourfavorite cookbookto come out of a gaming franchise. The dishes in these pages are based on the cultures that the cultures of WoW are influenced by. That means a feast of Asian-inspired dishes for Pandaria, North American native dishes for Tauren, and more. They’re split up by dessert, appetizer, drinks, and the like, as well as being rated by the difficulty of the recipe. That makes this a perfect cookbook for aspiring chefs and expert home cooks alike!

Warcraft - Legends Vol. 5

This book hasn’t left my kitchen since I bought it! I can’t recommend the Mulgore spice bread enough. Don’t be scared off by its “expert” difficulty rating!

Bicycle World of Warcraft Premium Special Edition Playing Cards

For all your card-based needs

Bicycle’s themed cards are always a perfect addition to any play set. This deck is great for fans of World of Warcraft who are looking for ways to play their favorite card games!

Not a fan offocusing on booksand such for merch? We understand! Sometimes it’s better to have something that you can play with in your hands. If you’re a fan of playing cards, Bicycle’s official World of Warcraft playing cards are an amazing choice!

This is a standard deck of playing cards that is based around the World of Warcraft factions and characters. The “letter cards” (Jack, Queen, King, Ace) typically feature lore characters and iconic members of the franchise. Be warned, this isn’t a stand-alone card game, nor is it a deck from the discontinued WoW TCG! These are great for a night of Solitaire, an evening of drinking games with your friends, or anything else you’d like to use them for.

World of Warcraft: Exploring Azeroth - Kalimdor

Explore Azeroth with Rexxar

If you’re interested in seeing more of the world of World of Warcraft, the Exploring Azeroth series is a great place to start. Exploring Azeroth: Kalimdor focuses on the western continent of the world, led along its dangerous canyons and plains by Rexxar.

The Exploring Azeroth series is an invaluable resource for players and fans who want to learn more not just about the lore of World of Warcraft, but who want to learn about the world of Azeroth itself. The volume we’ve chosen here focuses on Kalimdor, the western continent of the world (until a new expansion adds another previously-hidden continent or something, anyway).

Kalimdor is known as the home of the Orcs, Kaldorei, Tauren, and more. In this volume, you’ll follow along with Rexxar, a fan-favorite and “last” of the Mok’Nathal. The famed outdoorsman and ally of the Horde leads readers through the continent and focuses on its wildlife, its incredible geography, the history, and more. Whether you’re a new fan looking to catch up on lore or a veteran player who wants a new storybook, we can’t recommend this volume enough. If you like it, there are several more Exploring Azeroth volumes you may dive into!

McFarlane Toys World of Warcraft Orc Warrior & Shaman Figure

Lok’tar ogar!

For fans of collectibles and figures, McFarlane Toys is a brand we recommend keeping your eye on. Their Orcish Warrior & Shaman figure is our favorite bit of WoW merch coming out of the company.

No list of merch is complete without something to display. If you’re into minis, figures, and collectibles, McFarlane is a name we recommend keeping your eyes on for Blizzard - and for other IPs! We’ve previously highlighted some of their excellent figures for Diablo and some other properties, but today, we’re focusing on their bloodlust-fueled berserker.

The McFarlane Toys World of Warcraft Orcish figure comes in two parts. One option is an Orcish Warrior, complete with Horde armor and melee weapons to tear through a frontline. The other is a spiritual warrior, an Orcish Shaman, wielding weapons just as dangerous. You’ll choose which you want when you put your figure together with the accessories included - along with a mystery weapon that you won’t know of until it’s in your hand! McFarlane makes several other WoW-focused figures, including a Human Paladin/Warrior combination similar to this Shaman/Warrior combo. We’ve chosen to highlight the Orcish figure because, well… Lok’tar ogar and all.

Warcraft: Legends Vol. 5

Ideal for fans of visual novels!

For fans of visual novels, this is a fantastic choice for your merch collection - and your bookshelf! This volume contains multiple short stories and is our favorite of the Warcraft: Legends series.

If you’re a fan of visual novels looking toflesh out your bookshelves, our strongest recommendation goes to Warcraft: Legends Volume 5. Warcraft: Legends was a series of graphic novels in a manga style that came out in the late 2000s and early 2010s. These volumes worked to flesh out the World of Warcraft universe by highlighting lore characters that you wouldn’t see every day, as well as some fan favorites that were shrouded in mystery.

In this volume, our favorite story focuses on the Headless Horseman, an iconic boss that appears in the in-game Halloween event, and shows his fall and corruption into the monster players know him as. There are many other volumes that you’re able to enjoy, so if you love this one, don’t hesitate to find the others! The only drawback of Volume 5 is that two of the stories are sequels to previous Warcraft: Legends short stories - which makes it a great tactic to just buy the whole collection!
