Summary
Call of Duty Black Ops is one of the most beloved titles inCall of Dutyhistory. This time focusing on more covert missions and a new time-period, Black Ops took players back to the 60s towards the height of the Cold War. Eventually, it would also make a jump into the far future.
Multiplayer gave players plenty of maps that would scratch that itch for combat. So which maps were the ones everyone wanted to stay on 24/7? From the original Black Ops game to Cold War, these are the ten best multiplayer maps in the Black Ops franchise.

10Hazard
A Sniper’s Playground
Hazard is every sniper lover’s dream map. Taking place on a luxury golf course, spotting enemies from afar is an easy thing to do. Hitting them, however, requires all your sniping skills. Make sure to stay on the move and don’t stand still for too long, or you’ll get picked off.
Hazard was an underrated map when it first came out, but no map made it easier to practice your sniping skills. With Black Ops’s sniping mechanic being a little off to prevent quick-scopers, it’s a refreshing suprise to have a map that encourages it.

9Summit
Raining Snow And Bullets
On top of the snowy Ural Mountains is one of the greatest map locations of all time. Summit provides all the hectic gameplay of Nuketown without accidentally spawn trapping players. This makes it easy for players to build up killstreaks and truly lay waste on their opponents.
The map also has plenty of high-ground positions for players to defend and a fun route for capture-the-flag modes. Summit is so popular it has been remade countless times, including in Call of Duty Mobile.

8Hijacked
Overseas Combat
Every Call of Duty game introduces a close-quarters map that offersfast-paced gameplayand the perfect layout for a game of capture the flag. Black Ops 2’s entry is Hijacked, a luxary yacht in the middle of international waters.
Hijacked is the one map where your care package won’t be stolen by surprise. With the same hectic gameplay as other small maps, Hijacked allows you to rack up kills for larger killstreaks. Some of the best killstreaks to use on this map are those that let you control gunships in the air, leading to even more kills.

7Raid
Luxury Cars And Zen Gardens
Raid takes place in a Hollywood Hills mansion decked out with luxury cars, a private basketball court, and even a zen garden. Gameplay, on the other hand, is anything but zen, as Raid is another hectic map in the Black Ops 2 lineup.
The map tips between beinga close-range mapto being a medium-range experience. This creates a balance where the central part of the map is extremely close quarters while the exterior portions of the map are more open and lend themselves to sniping.

6Hacienda
Vineyard Paradise
Every now and then,a modern Call of Duty gets it right.Black Ops 4introduces Hacienda, which is a map set in a vineyard estate in Spain. Part of the base game, Hacienda combines a close-quarters experience with a long-range one in a single space.
Hacienda features enclosed spaces that form a ring-like layout that circles the center of the estate. This area creates a loop in which players can run circles with close-range weapons, or pick off players that appear on the other side. A nighttime version of the map was also added to the game.

5Moscow
Easy To Spot Enemies
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold Waris a soft reboot of the Black Ops series of games. Included as part of the base game is a map called Moscow. One of the smallest maps in the title, Moscow features a clean-looking space, allowing for players to appear in the forefront of their surroundings.
This makes spotting enemies easier. Combined with the tight spaces, it leads to a fun, fast-paced experience. During the lifespan of Cold War, the map received updates that blocked off areas and made it an even tighter map.

4Checkmate
A Modern Classic
If you want a map that has the aesthetic of Firing Range, then Checkmate is the map to look for in Cold War. Set in a training facility within a warehouse, the map has a central focus point of a plane.
In objective-based game modes, the plane can serve as one of the capture points. Due to its close-quarters nature, it can make securing it one of the most hectic things to do. When not focused on the plane, the crates and sets on the map provide the perfect opportunity for mid and long-range combat.

3Evac
Wall Running Galore
One of the first maps released for Call of Duty: Black Ops III was Evac. Set in a flooded Singapore quarantine zone, evac has all the staples of a close-quarters map with open spaces for long-range options. It also features a layout that lets players take advantage of the wall running mechanic.
This gives the map a whole new layer of play that allows you to latch on to a wall, hit players from above and create your own high ground as you run over other player’s heads. This also means boost jumping over pits to cross the map and get to other players quicker.

2Firing Range
Fan Favorite Training Ground
Firing Range is a fan-favorite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty Black Ops title. A three-lane map, Firing Range, had all the little nooks and crannies for players to hide in while they picked off players by surprise.
The map is small enough to keep up the fast pace while also offering areas where players can see towards the other end of the map. This makes it perfect for noob tubing or sniper rifle action. Firing Range is also small enough that players have an easy time finding fights.

1Nuketown
The Best Black Ops Map
Nuketown is one of the best maps in the entire Black Ops series due to its size. Each side has a house that players spawn around. At the center of the map is a bus that can be used for cover to avoid snipers.
Nuketown offers non-stop action due to spawns being relatively close to each other. This leads to plenty of confrontation with other players. The enclosed spaces of each house also give players the opportunity to hide in corners and catch unsuspecting enemies as they enter the enemy team’s house.
