Summary

Wuthering Waveshas a variety of characters to choose from and build your party to traverse the world of Solaris-3. Many of these characters offer unique designs and abilities that, while powerful on their own, can truly excel when combined with other party members, especially healers.

As most people know, healers and supports are the backbone of a good team. Such is especially true in Wuthering Wavessince some of the massive bossescan one-shot your Resonator if you are not aptly prepared for the battle. Besides health recovery, damage mitigation can be considered ‘healing’ by some people, thus qualifying certain tanks as healers for the sake of single-character teams.

Wuthering Waves' Taoqi, a woman with orange hair wearing pink, orange, white, and black.

Taoqi is an interesting choice to include since she’s not necessarily a healer if compared to the other Resonators in Wuthering Waves. Although she has some healing potential, her healing only applies to her and not the rest of the party, making her more of a tank-type Resonator.

Taoqi can use her Heavy Attack to enter herRocksteady Defensestate. In this stance, Taoqi’s DMG taken is reduced by 35 percent and she has access to an incredible parry that can burst a huge amount of damage. Her kit revolves around big hits and defensive plays with her Resonance Skill,Fortified Defense. With this skill, Taoqi can expel some Havoc DMG to nearby enemies while recovering some of her health back.

Unlike most healers, Taoqi requires more of your attention since she’ll be actively parrying and mitigating damage. She can be an excellent way for newer players to learn and practice dodge and parry timings since Taoqi doesn’t require the player to actively attack the entire time she’s on the field. She’s a healer, but she can deala huge amount damage if she needs to.

Low skill ceiling focusing on defensive and reactive play.

Amazing survivability with strong shields and self-healing.

The Glacio queen is an excellent healer to equip in your party and the best part about her is that she is only a four-star character so maxing her out will be a breeze. Similar to ‘puppet’ characters in other games, Baizhi focuses on long-range attacks with her Echo,You’tan. Since Baizhi is a healer, her Basic and Heavy Attacks don’t do much, besides deal small amounts of damage, but her Resonance Skill, Resonance Liberation, and Intro Skill are where her kit truly shines.

Baizhi doesn’t require much field time, so it is better to keep her in the backline until you can call her in with her Intro Skill to recover a ton of HP for your other characters. Having her active is not too much of a downside, since she’ll be generating energy for her Resonance Liberation, which will apply a much handy health regeneration for other active team members, which will continuously damage enemies as well. Luckily, you’ll be able to pull Baizhi rather quickly in the standard banner, making her revive skill online much quicker and more effective than her Spectro counterpart, Verina.

Sure, Verina is the most frail healer on the roster, but she makes up for what she lacks in HP with some ofthe best healing abilities in Wuthering Waves. Similar to Baizhi, Verina’s attacks aren’t all that special since her focus is healing, but her healing output is larger than her Glacio counterpart, and can even offer DMG buffs to the rest of the party.

Verina’s biggest boon when compared to other healers is her Photosynthesis Mark. This status can be applied with her Resonance Liberation,Arboreal Flourish. When an enemy marked by this is attacked by another team member, Verina will enter the battle and use a coordinated attack that will deal Spectro DMG while healing a bit of HP to the Resonator on the field.

Baizhi’s regeneration is a great way to sustain your party, but dealing damage while healing is much preferred. This ability combined with a burst DPS like Jiyan can make for an explosive combination. Verina even has some cheeky techniques that you can pull off by cancelling your landing animation with a barrage of aerial attacks just before planting your feet on the ground.

Healing benefits on-field characters. Aggro playstyles are encouraged, but can be dangerous.

Low field commitment.

Has a couple of mechanic-intensive techniques. Needed to learn to maximize her potential.
