Summary

In the ecosystem simulator Reus 2, you control several gigantic beings that influence your world’s environment, population, and resources. As you explore and gain more of a following from the humans in your world, you will later expand your rein with the giants into other planets and continue the cycle anew.

There are six giants that you can manage for the creation of your world. Each one controls a certain environment, and as you level them up, they’ll unlock a secondary biome that can expand the diversity of your worlds. You can only place three different giants on each planet you’re in, so finding a good balance and creating the best setup with them is key.

Atlas the Rock Giant in Reus 2

Affinity

Minerals and Valuables

The massive rock giant Atlas cancarve fresh desertsand pull minerals from the earth for your budding civilization. The only difficulty is that life in the desert is fairly difficult, and requires that other biomes exist to support a balance between resources and your populations. For that, you’ll need to have a natural source of water and plant life.

Jangwa the Savannah Giant in Reus 2

Reginald and the rainforest biome it supports are a good counter for supporting a vast diversity of life to flourish alongside Jangwa’s savanna. Having the savannah in the center with rainforest on one side and the desert on the other gives a natural balance and flow that’ll encourage the best diversity possible.

Animals and Predators

Aegir the Frost Giant in Reus 2

Jangwa is a massive beast-like giant with two tails, horns, and massive arms for forging the open grasslands of the savannah. This is perfect for getting a food chain going with all kinds of animal types from elephants and giraffes to lions. Animal diversity is important for creating a functional ecosystem, and it gives the little humans in your world something to eat and wear.

With the other major life-focused giants like Satari and Khiton, you’re able to have a thriving world full of wildlife and plant diversity due to their woodland biomes combining well. With this, life will flourish all around your world, and soon you will be able to experiment with other more risky biomes such as the taiga and deserts.

Reginald the Swamp Giant in Reus 2

Minerals and Science

A hulking man-like figure who brings the chilling weather of the taiga, also known as snow forests, Aegir’s resources help develop your civilizations, ensuring that they can develop their science and obtain important minerals. The snow forest also acts as an important barrier against threatening elements, being a generally inhospitable place except for your people.

Satari the Forest Giant in Reus 2

Aegir pairs well with Atlas and Khiton, with both giants adding to the blended influence and biome effectiveness of the taiga and oceans on either side. They also add to the strength of Aegir’s developments with animals of the sea and valuable minerals from the desert, making Aegir ideal for developing technology and cities for your civilization.

Plants and Diversity

Khiton the Ocean Giant in Reus 2

Trees and plants are some of the most important edible and building materials for your young growing civilization. Reginald is a massive frog-like creature that builds a rainforest region for tons of plants to grow. He got a bit of a redesign from the first installment and lost his domain over swamps for the rainforest biome.

The biodiversity you gain from the rainforest is ideal to mix with the savannah, and creatures from that region can also thrive in the rainforest. Both the rainforest and savannah are necessary for balancing plants and animals, leaving you with a third free option between taiga or opting to have additional forests from Satari.

Plants

An ancient-looking giant with a mountain of flora growing from its back, Satari is responsible forbringing forests into beingand has an affinity for plant life. Because of this, Satari works well with Reginald in growing a massive amount of foliage in the world, giving rise to a healthy ecosystem and giving animals a place to start for food.

Along with merging the forest with rainforest biomes, you can get creative by mixing Khiton’s ocean biomes or creating a balance with the savannah or taiga biomes. Food, shelter, and other valuable resources are highly abundant here and nothing helps more in the development of your world than making it just a bit greener.

Animals

In many cultures, stories, and the natural history of our world, life began and thrived the longest in the sea. And it is here, in Khiton’s domain, thatocean life can come and bring plentiful harvestsfrom fish to water. Khiton is a massive, crab-like beast that parts the land around it and makes way for the ocean to come into being.

Biome combinations that you’re able to have with the ocean include the savannah with its abundance of natural wildlife, as well as the taiga and forest biomes, which are essential for developing your civilization’s technology and populations. As in all God simulator games, water is a vital and precious resource, no matter what setup you’re making. This is always a necessary element and Khiton is the best giant for the job.
