This double dungeon encounter nearly kills Jin Woo but also unlocks his exceptional abilities, which help him become the strongest Monarch and Hunter of all time. The Statue of God uses his heat vision on hunters, which leads to a lot of them dying and others being horribly injured.
However, Jin Woo realizes he has to ultimately sacrifice himself to save others which makes this fight a memorable early-story fight. Mysteriously, Jin Woo ends up surviving and experiences a second awakening, which makes him a powerful hunter.

8Thomas Andre Vs Beast Monarch
Thomas Andre’s fight against the Beast Monarch showcases his incredible skillset and commendable dedication. After Jin Woo spares his life and becomes friends with him, Andre decides to visit him in Korea but soon has to face the beast monarch who is devouring hunters left and right.
Andre manages to land some surprisingly devastating blows and uses his Telekinesis ability, but he is still overpowered by the Beast Monarch and eventually loses the fight. Despite grave injuries, he still manages to survive through sheer dedication, which leads to this fight being ranked among the best ones.

7Jin Woo vs Ant King
In the Jeju Island Arc, Jin Woo faces the Ant King, who infamously murders many recognized hunters of Korea. Accompanied by many S-rank hunters, including Goto Ryuji, who is on a mission to become a national-level hunter, Sung Jin Woo enters the raid against ants.
Jin Woo turns the Ant King into one of his Shadow Soldiers and calls him Beru.

The monstrous entity effortlessly defeats the S-rank hunters along with Goto Ryuji, the most powerful Japanese hunter. Instead of relying on raw power, Jin Woo skillfully uses his abilities and tactics to take the Ant King down, which makes this chapter sequence a crucial part of his character development.
6Jin Woo Vs Igris
Before Igris can become Jin Woo’s very first shadow soldier, he fights against him in a spectacular battle. Igris proves to be a very powerful adversary with a lot of combat advantages, including strength, speed, and skills. The Blood Red Commander is tasked with the duty of battling the new Shadow Monarch.
Seeing that his dagger has no effect on the shadow commander, Jin Woo drops it and attacks him with his bare hands. Igris drops his sword as well to make the fight fair, resulting in a historic duel. Sung Jinwoo luckily emerges as the winner and takes over the empty king’s throne in the arena, making this panel one of the most popular ones in the manhwa.

5Jin Woo Vs Thomas Andre
Jin Woo’s fight against Thomas Andre known famously as Goliath is definitely one of the best ones in the Solo Leveling Manhwa. Initially, Thomas has no intentions of battling Jin Woo. However, his subordinate Hwang Dong Su tricks the Shadow Monarch into a battle with him to take revenge for his brother’s death at Jin Woo’s hands.
To prevent Dong Su from being killed as well, Thomas has to intervene. Andre is undoubtedly a very powerful hunter and also a vessel for Rulers which makes this fight a tough one. However, Jin Woo manages to defeat the national-level hunter and claim the title of being the strongest, marking this fight as a significant one.

4Sung IL Hwan Vs Two Monarchs
The whole Monarch War Arc is a roller coaster of emotions paired with thrilling fight scenes and astonishing interactions for Jin Woo. The protagonist has to engage in a cruel battle against three powerful Monarchs: The Monarch Of Plagues, the Monarch Of Beastly Fangs, and the Monarch Of Frost. Unfortunately, Jin Woo receives a deadly blow on his back, knocking him out. While he manages to kill the Monarch of Plagues, the other two Monarchs plan on finishing him for good to stop his resurrection.
However, their plans are stopped by Sung IL Hwan, who battles them and gives Jin Woo enough time to be resurrected as the Shadow Monarch. The comeback of Sung IL Hwan, who was presumed to be dead, and the beautiful combat sequence featuring the father-son duo is what makes this one of the best fights to go down in the Solo Leveling history.

3Jin Woo Vs The Architect
This encounter holds much significance as many fans thought the fight that concluded the Manhwa was the one featuring Jin Woo and the Architect. Jin Woo is invited back to the double dungeon, where he fought the Statue of God to meet the architect responsible for making the System.
However, the Architect reveals that the whole system was just a test for Jin Woo, and he was intended to be the vessel for Ashborn the Shadow Monarch. Both of them then engage in a fight, and Jin Woo manages to defeat him in under ten minutes, completing the final Test.

There have been many instances where Jin Woo almost died in the Manhwa. However, when he had to face the three monarchs on his own, his skills were truly tested. Jin Woo manages to defeat the Monarch Of Plagues before he is fatally injured by Rakan. However, before they can finish off Jin Woo, the Monarchs are stopped by his father.
