Summary

Fromtriple-A gamesto indie games, every journey will send you to change the world in some way. Most of the time, the changes will be good, allowing everyone to live happily ever after. However, in some cases, the opposite is true. Your actions will doom the world to darkness.

Evil routes can be a lot of fun. It means you can take whatever you want without paying, intimidate NPC, and become notorious in the game world. In some games, doing this can unlock secret endings or even give you access to dialogue and quests that are exclusive to your type of character. These are the best evil routes you can experience in gaming.

Judas powers and gun inside a BioShock level

Bioshock still has one of themost creative and dystopian worldsas its backdrop. Deep under the sea, the hidden city of Rapture is home to many immoral experiments. These include the plasmids that give you electrifying abilities, Big Daddies that can beat you to death, and Little Sisters sent to collect Adam from corpses.

you may choose to save the Little Sisters, or you can harvest them. This will displease Tenenbaum but give you plenty of Adam to unlock new abilities. If you harvest every Little Sister in the game, you will be able to take over the surface world.

Get Revenge

In Dishonored, Korvo is accused of having murdered the Queen of Dunwall, whom he was sworn to protect. Unraveling the conspiracy,Corvo must avenge her deathand rescue Emily Kaldwin, the next in line to the throne.

Revenge is sweet with many powers that are more gruesome to use and promote a more aggressive playstyle. You flood the building with flesh-eating rats, blow your enemies away with the wind, or stop time, allowing you to grab bullets from the air. Kill everyone, and Emily will learn from your example and become a ruthless Queen.

Dishonored 2 allows you to play as both Korvo and a grown-up Emily Kaldwin. Each character has unique powers that let you lay waste to a whole new country, Serkonos.

As you try to reclaim the throne from a witch, your actions will change the ending and the overall state of Serkonos. Leave a trail of death and destruction and, with each new level, you will start to notice that the streets are littered with bodies and the world is much more hostile.

The Wolf Among Us Characters Talking

In The Wolf Among Us, you play as the Big Bad Wolf from the fairytales. Bigby, as he is known now, is the sheriff in charge of keeping order among the dislocated Fables. While the story-driven game makes the average player want the world to accept Bigby, making them hate him is so much fun.

you may make Bigby interrogate other characters harshly, execute troublemakers, and choose cold-hearted dialogue options. All these choices get the appropriate reactions from citizens, solidifying you as the true Big Bad Wolf.

Fallout 3 allows you to kill most NPCs as you make your way through the Capitol Wasteland. Even as a child, Fallout 3 lets you be a sarcastic, aggressive, bully to the other vault dwellers. Once you finally leave, you may wreak havoc on the surface world.

Aside from killing every NPC for the free XP, there are plenty of events that will make your father disappointed in you. One example is detonating the bomb at Megaton and turning the city into a radioactive pit.

Become An Evil Monarch

Fable 3 has you running away from home as a coup snatches your chance at the throne. There are plenty of immoral and selfish choices you can make, but what makes the game stand out is how you can betray all the allies you have recruited.

Once you become king or queen of Albion, you will be given new choices that can affect the country going forward. This includes reinstating child labor and exploiting a neighboring city for resources. You are royalty and your word is law.

The Ultimate Sith

Hate and anger are not the Jedi way. Luckily, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic lets you break those vows and become one with the dark side of the force. You can betray your allies, manipulate characters, andunlock secret Sith abilities.

It’s not a good evil playthrough unless characters react to your actions. Your allies and other NPC will always have something to say the further you slip into darkness. Some will even abandon you if you are too far gone.

The Emperor, a big purple tentacle monster called a Mind Flayer, in Baldur’s Gate 3

The magic of Dungeons & Dragons comes from your ability to be anyone you want to be. This could be an honorable warrior or a ruthless rogue. Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you roll the dice and see where things take you.

Being evil will unfortunately lock you out of many companions, romances, and quests. However, instigating the Druids into massacring the Tieflings or forcing a goblin to kiss your feet can lead to some devilishly fun interactions. You can even give in to the dark urge and kick a squirrel.

Prey The Hero Walks Away From The Alien Entity

Prey has a unique morality system that checks not only your story decisions but your upgrade decisions as well. Early on, you gain the powers of a Typhon, one of the creatures that are currently spreading across the ship.

You can either upgrade human abilities or upgrade your Typhon ones. The more you put into Typhon the less human you become. You can also kill off other NPC survivors, leading to a surprise bad ending, but not quite the one you would expect.

Undertale has one of the most evil routes in gaming history. By killing every monster in the ruins and then murdering Toriel before leaving, you kickstart the genocide run. This run has you killing everything that moves on your way to Asgore.

Monsters will react to you with fear as you make your way through the underground. You even get special dialogue in shops commenting on your acts. This evil playthrough also unlocks new boss fights, including the legendary and difficult Sans fight.
