Summary
Have you ever haddreams of sailing the ocean of stars? To meet new friends and enemies as you maneuver the dangers and beauties of space, you’ll have to be a certain kind of wreckless to bravely go where no man has gone before to deliver packages and other goods. Yet, in Starstruck Vagabond, that’s the entirety of its appeal.
Your journey across the cosmos brings many like-minded folk in your path to join your crew, whether it be a complete accident, or if you just happen to finally answer that mysterious calling silently beckoning you to the majestic Purple Egg. Your crew is what makes the journey both wildly chaotic and special. Now, toss all that aside, and let’s rank them from okay, to most reliable and best among your ship.

9Hole
Inside A Broken Ship During A Distress Call
As far as passives go, Hole is invaluable to the team. You never have to worry about running low on fuel in between stops, because each time you go and answer a distress call, Hole will siphon any fuel that he can get his invisible hands on. You’re going to need a lot, so this comes in handy, but at what does this abundance of fuel cost you?
Why, your nerves, of course! His personality straddles the line between passive-aggressive and just ‘hijacks’ your ship. After recruiting him, there will be times when you wish you could simply open the airlock, and make you wonder if he is missing the first part of his name.

8Red
Found Inside A Waste Barrel On An Inhabited Planet
Out of the ways you can meet your crew members, this has got to be the worst. Who expects to find anyone alive inside a barrel of waste? The poor guy. Luckily, he has you to find and rescue him from a disgusting death. At least he has a better personality from a certainholethat joins your crew.
After joining, he can provide the passive ability of Amalgam Insider, which enhances the crew’s trading capabilities while authorizing additional sectors and thereby widening the scope of items for trade. Plus, if you max out his relationship, he becomes one of the fastest crew members in the game for unlocking multiple quadrants. After that, though, he quickly becomes slightly obsolete.

7Burlap
Just Kind Of Shows Up After Encountering Zoobs
It’s rare to find someone who can exist in space without, you know, dying a gruesome death. A natural conclusion would be that most people in the game would also know this. Yet, it seems that Burlap missed that memo, because when you find him, he’s outside of your ship, just as your ship is gettingattacked and infested by the gelatinous Zoobs.Curious, but stranger things are going on in the universe.
Once you finish his onboarding mission, you’re left with a skill that isn’t glamorous, but essential to you and your crew’s survival: Photosynthesis. This skill keeps your crew breathing clean air without having to do much in the way of maintenance. Even if Burlap doesn’t seem to need it himself.

6Second
The Mysterious Space-faring Counselor Helps The Crew
Being out there in space, where people are almost as rare as resources, can be taxing to the sentient mind. So, it’s good to know there is still help available in the form of counselors thousands of years in the future. It just so happens that this particular ‘beary’ cuddly counselor can be found by smacking their face on the side of an oncoming asteroid.
After you find your ship’s computer from the crash, he’ll demand you take him to the giant egg in the center of the universe. Once you do and meet back up with him, he’ll officially join your party. Then, he’ll offer a boost to all your relationships with everyone on board with his passive, Ship’s counselor.

5Syl
The Rudest Meet Cute Of The Crew
Yup, it’s just as the title says, your meeting Syl for the first time is not only rude, but potentially dangerous. You see, she doesn’t just bump into you or hijack your ship. Instead, if you happen upon her on an uninhabited planet (be sure there aren’t any crashed ships there), she’ll end up biting you. While not deadly, it sends you on one hell of a mind trip.
As with most of the other companions, you’ll have to take her to the Almighty Egg before she joins your crew and forgive her for the attack, but once you do, she’ll grant the passive ability Child of Wilds. The ability will allow you to regenerate your health on wild, uninhabited planets.

4Magu
The Pink-Haired Waifu Hiding Out In The Trash
There are a lot of things you’ll find within the abandoned debris and trash on the derelict ships dotting the universe, but the last thing you’d expect to find inside one of the bags would be a pink-haired anime girlstraight out of your favorite shojo manga!Upon meeting her, she immediately connects herself to you and jumps ship. Magu looks like the easiest person to add to your crew, but there’s much more to her than meets the eye.
After your obligatory trip to the mysterious egg (seriously, does no one know why everyone is drawn to it?), she’ll officially join your crew and claim her place as your wife. Her passive, Shiny Things, makes her drop gold and silver credit chits and jewels that can be sold. Easy money.

3Sarge
Life-Long Soldier, Part-Time Volgan Hater
Sarge is a no-nonsense person who’d rather spend his time away from aliens, especially Volgans, but he’s still a reliable addition to your crew. Once you run into him at the trading post, he willinsistyou drop him off on an uninhabited planet to take care of his business before, as with the others, asks you to take them to the All Hailed Egg.
Adding him to your crew gives you some breathing room when it comes to maintenance on the ship. His passive, Grunt Work, slows down the rate at which the components of the ship get dirty and thereby break down. A huge boon when you’re trying to get from point A to B.

2Melinda
As An Intergalactic Government Worker, Of Course, She Finds You First
Take a 2,000-year nap, and a lot about the world you know can change. Governments can rise and fall again, but nothing can stop the eternal need for bureaucracy and paperwork will never die. Melinda works for Oniris Venture, said bureaucratic company that goes to great lengths to keep tabs on its employees.
The company lied to her, threatened her, and used her family against her, but it’s only when you raise her affection levels that she realizes how wrong this is and is glad that she’s fired to travel freely with you. Despite her job loss, her passive ability, Oniris Insider, gives you a boost in survey rewards depending on your relationship with her.

1Kasandra
A Time Traveler Stopping The Magenta Death
Have you ever been that friend of the group who could see the trainwreck coming from a mile away, yet anytime you tried to warn your friends to move out of the way or do something, they just ignored you? Take that, and amplify it by a thousand with Kasandra. She is from a future where a cataclysmic event known as the Magenta Death occurred, and she traveled back to prevent it. It’s a frustrating place for her.
She may be bitter about her situation, but at least by joining you, she feels like there may be a chance to stop it all from happening. Once she does join, she provides the passive Science Officer. The ability allows your ship to process fuel at an exponentially better rate, but the higher you get her affections, the more she’s able to process, including plant growth, engine speed, and the refinery. You really can’t go wrong with adding her to your squad.
