Summary
Most gacha games will include a sort of battle pass to reward players for their long hours grinding and basking in the world, especially in a universe as vast as the one inWuthering Waves.
In the Kuro Games open-world hack-and-slash adventure, you are treated to a battle pass known in game as Pioneer Podcast. The free pass will award you with milestone rewards for completing daily and weekly tasks. These rewards include power-up materials like Shell Credits or even tickets to pull in limited-character banners.

A paid version of the pass known as Insider Channel can be bought for about $10 and will unlock even more rewards, including a four-star weapon selector upon reaching level 30 in Pioneer Podcast.
5Lumingloss
Lumingloss is the sword you’re able to acquire from Pioneer Podcast, and while most of the characters that you get for free at the beginning of the game are sword wielders, you are probably better off selecting a different weapon when completing the battle pass.
The sword focuses on boosting your Resonator’s ATK by a percentage amount. Most DPS characterswill benefit from this scaling buff, but you usually want to build CRIT rather than ATK on your Resonators.

Lumingloss is not the worst weapon you’re able to equip, as it is still miles better than any three-star weapon found in the game, but once you reach level 45, you will be awarded a five-star weapon selector that includes one of the best swords in the game. Time to start grinding those side missions!
4Thunderbolt
Thunderbolt is a neat weapon that you can pick up, but the roster for who could use it is quite small. The pistols offer your Resonators a Skill DMG bonus that will exponentially increase as you barrage your opponents with bullets.
The weapon is not bad by any means, andMortefi is a great character that can use itif you haven’t pulled a five-star pistol, but Mortefi shines when swapping him in and out with the rest of your party, so the buff that Thunderbolt can provide becomes quite useless.

One of the characters that would be well suited for Thunderbolt would be thefree four-star Chixia, since she requires more field time than other gunslingers, but her underwhelming kit makes choosing Thunderbolt a questionable decision.
3Stonard
This is the point when your choice of battle pass weapon will matter more. There aren’t many characters that can utilize gauntlets, and the ones that can aren’t anything to write home about, but if you are a Lingyang fan for life, then choosing Stonard as your four-star weapon might be worth it.
Stonard can give Resonators a CRIT Rate substat, making any gauntlet user deal explosive damage onto any enemy in your path. Not only can the gauntlet increase your damage by a huge amount, but Stonard also gives your characters a passive Resonance Liberation DMG boost that will greatly increase your DPS in any mission you choose to take up.

Characters like Lingyang thrive on their Resonance Liberation, making Stonard and Lingyang a match made in Solaris-3. Jianxin can also wield the weapon, although not as effective as the small cat boy.
2Augment
Augment is one of the best choices from the four-star selector purely for how versatile the rectifier is. There are quite a few characters that can wield a rectifier, and some of them are the best in the game.
Yinlin is an excellent Augment wielder. She can arrive into the battle and explode enemies out of nowhere with her huge burst potential. This weapon will greatly enhance those numbers with its CRIT Rate substat and ATK percent buff.

Even though two of the rectifier characters found in Wuthering Waves are healers, you can still equip this weapon in a pinch, but it won’t do much for their stats. At that point, you are better off finding a Rectifier Of Night out in the open world.
Healers won’t get much use out of Augment, but it still is the best rectifier besides Yinlin’s signature weapon.
1Autumntrace
If you pulled the general Jiyan, you might want to select this weapon in your battle pass. Autumntrace is not better than Jiyan’s signature weapon, Verdant Summit, by any means, but it is a great replacement if you spent all of your Radiant Tides on grabbing the green-haired dragon man.
The weapon comes equipped with a CRIT Rate substat and a passive that will increase ATK percent as you hack and slash your heart away. Since Jiyan demands to be on the field at all times, due to his secondary mode, Qingloong Mode, where he can unleash outrageous amounts of damage.
If you lost the gamble and didn’t pull Jiyan, but really want to use Autumntrace, then Calcharo will be your next best bet, and luckily you can grab him for free from the five-star character selector provided to all players by Kuro Games. Or you could even try out a cheeky build for Taoqi and her slow and powerful attacks.
