Surviving as a Human inKiller Klowns From Outer Space: The Gamecan seem difficult when it feels like there’s a Klown around every corner, ready to hunt you down and harvest your body to fuel the Lackey Generators. With the imminent threat of the Klownpocalypse coming, you need to keep your wits about you if you want to survive.
You’re in luck, because we’ve put together everything you need to know about how to stay out of the Klown’s radar while finding a way to escape. Along with some survival tips so that you have a fighting chance, we’ve also go over everything you’ll need for each escape route.
Beginner Tips For Playing As A Human
If you want to learn how to win as a Human, the most important thing to remember issilence is golden. The quieter you are, the better your chances of getting out.
Here are a fewsurvival tips to get you started:
Start Looting Immediately
As soon as you can, beginlooting everything. Look in coolers, boxes, lockers, drawers, refrigerators, microwaves -any container you can find. You will also find a lot of items on the ground, on tables, or on benches.
Items highlighted inred are weapons,green-highlighted items areusually health, while everythingelse is highlighted in white.
Be on the lookout forspecific items to aidin your escape: spark plugs, the bridge key, key card for the bunker, and fuel.
Be Quiet!
When you’re playing as a Human, your goal at the start of the match is toremain as quiet as possibleand keep a low profile. The more noise you make, themore likely you’ll be found by a Klown. They may be slow, but that doesn’t stop them.
Crouch-walkingis the best way to keep quiet while you move around. You can also usebushes as cover, and there are various items to hide behind while crouched. As long as the Klowndoesn’t see or hearyou, you’ll be fine.
You can also hide inside ofdumpsters and closets, but these will give you skill checks until you leave or are found. If you miss or fail the skill check, theKlowns will be notified. If they search inside and find you, you’ll be stunned momentarily,allowing them to capture you.
Manage Your Health And Stamina
Your health and stamina meters aren’t just there for show, andmanaging them wellwill greatly enhance your chances of survival.
Luckily, there are items you’re able to find that will either giveyou a health or stamina boost.

Revive Your Friends
If your teammates are dying and there’s still a lot of time left on the countdown,you have a chance to revive themand turn the tide of the match.
Look for theResurrection Machine. It’ll look a little like a radio tower withmulti-colored lights and a purple domeon it.
Just like the escape routes, it will be covered with a thick layer of cotton candy, which you’ll need to remove carefully. Then you’re able to start the machine andbring your friends back.
Remember! The Resurrection Machine canonly be used once per match, so use it wisely!
Be A Guardian Angel
If you’ve escaped or been killed, you will then get to spectate your remaining friends. During this time you canplay a series of mini-gamesthat will unlock useful items to give to whoever you’re currently spectating. You may even find something they’ll need tounlock one of the escape routes!
If you’ve died and are hoping to be revived, you canalso keep some of the items for yourselfjust in case.
Bring The Fight To The Klowns
While the Klowns can be a little scary, you don’t have to justaccept your fate and let them take you. Fight back using any weapons you can find!
While looting you may findmelee weapons, guns, or throwablesthat will help you make the Klown’s work for their hunt.
You are able to kill Klowns using an axe, knife, or a gun, but keep in mind thatthey will respawn in 45 seconds.
Stay Together
A Humanshould never go it alonewhen Killer Klowns are on the hunt. The Humans outnumber the Klowns, after all.
When you start the match, thelocation of the meeting point will be revealed to you. The meeting point is a great place for everyone to meet up and make plans. It will also have a few helpful items for anyone to take. You’ll find weapons, health,possibly a compass, or one of the keys you need.
As you begin looting and staying quiet, make your way to the meeting point, andbe on the lookout for other Humans. If you group up and work together, chances of survival and escape will be greatly increased.
How To Escape Using The Bridge
Escaping via the bridge is one of the easier options,but it’s risky. All you need is thebridge key and something tough to break the barrierin front of the bridge. Metal pipe, a bat, a frying pan, or fire poke should do the trick, butyou may need more than one.
If you miss a skill check on the cotton candy barrier,Klowns will be notified. Also, breaking the wooden barrier is very loud,so prepare for some company.
Once you’re through the barrier and you unlock the gate with the key,walk or crouch-walk carefully, as the tunnel isn’t in good shape and can only hold so much weight. If you sprint across,it will collapse behind youand others won’t be able to use it as an escape route.
How To Escape Using The Boat
The motorboat is agreat way to escape, and shouldn’t be hard to find. All you have to do is look for any area by the water,usually a dock.
To escape on the motorboat, you will need asparkplug and fuel. Unlike the bridge, doing these actions aren’t very loud, so the Klowns shouldn’t be alerted unless you miss your skill checks.
Once the boat is ready to go, there’s room for you and two other of your teammates to escape.If you have a flare, this is a great way to alert the other humans that you’ve found a way out.
How To Escape Using The Portal
If you’relucky enough to find two sparkplugs, the portal is a great way to escape.
You will haveskill checks for both sparkplugs, and to start up the machine. As long as you hit them all, the Klowns won’t be notified that you’re trying to leave this way.
Once the portal is ready,you and two otherscan jump in and escape.
How To Escape Using The Bunker
Rather than leaving the city, the bunker offers you a way toshield yourself and two other Humansfrom the Klownpocalypse blast.
To use the bunker, you will need theAccess Key Card and fuelfor the generator that powers the bunker.
This escape route can be a difficult option, as you’ll oftenfind it in a busy area of the mapnear where the Klowns are. Also, keep in mind thatonce the generator is powered it is very noisy, so try to leave that to the last possible second.
The fuel that you need for both the boat and the bunkeris very heavy.You won’t be able torun or use any of your itemswhile carrying it. We recommend teaming up with other Humans so they can offer protection while you carry the fuel.
How To Escape Using the Terenzi Exit
The final ditch effort to escape is theTerenzi Exit. During thefinal 30-second countdownbefore the Klownpocalypse, the Terenzi Brothers will crash their ice cream truck into one of the exterior gum walls,creating a hole for any surviving humansto escape.
Once this route is open, you’ll haveless than 30 seconds to get there. When you’re in the last few minutes of the Klownpocalypse countdown, it’s a good idea tofind your way (quietly) to the center of the mapso you have the best possible chance of getting to the Terenzi Exit in time.
