Trials of Tavis a complete overhaul that turns Baldur’s Gate 3 into something more reminiscent ofHadesorThe Binding of Isaac. You fight waves of increasingly difficult enemies who drop random loot, earning RogueScore which you’re able to use to buy power-ups like tadpoles, ceremorphosis, double XP, upgraded stats, etc. It promises over 100 hours of gameplay with 38 maps, 250 plus enemies, and even multiplayer support.

How To Play Baldur’s Gate 3 Roguelike

The mod is fairly simple to download, all you need is Norbyte’s Script Extender and Mod Fixer. With all three installed, open up a new save file and you’ll see a prompt, “Welcome to Trials of Tav! Start playing?” Select ‘Yes’ and you’re good to go.

If you accidentally press ‘No’, you can start the roguelike mode through the attack dialogue with Withers or by typing ‘!TT Activate’ in the console.

Hippo0o recommendsplaying in Honour Modefor the true roguelike experience as it’ll stop you from scum saving with its permadeath punishment, but otherwise, you don’t need to do anything else. It automatically skips the tutorial and throws you right into the thick of things.
