What Are Artifact Troves?
Artifact Troves are similar togeodes. They can be found all over Stardew Valley andbroken open by visitingClint. However, the big difference is that, unlike the different geodes,you won’t find minerals inside, but artifacts.
There are four types of geodes: Geodes,Frozen Geodes,Magma Geodes, andOmni Geodes.
Artifacts are items that can be found in a variety of ways andthen donated to the Pelican Town Museum. These items can also be sold,especially once you start to come across duplicates.

How Can You Get Artifact Troves?
There are a handful of ways to obtain Artifact Troves. The most reliable of which ispurchasing them from theDesert Trader. You will have totrade five Omni Geodes for one Artifact Trove.
Haunted Skulls have a 1.3 percent chance to drop an Artifact Trove, but only once The Vault has been completed in the Community Center.
Haunted Skulls can be found inThe Quarry Mine. They can also spawn onDungeon Floors in The Mines.
Supply crates on the Beach Farmalso have a chance to hold Artifact Troves, but you have to have upgraded your home twice before they can appear. They can be hoed up from Artifact Spotsat the Dig Site onGinger Island.
They can also be purchased fromGeorge if he hosts his villager shopat theDesert Festivalfor ten Calico Eggs.

Artifact Trove Items
There are 28 different items that can be inside an Artifact Trove. Each item hasthe same percentage chance of appearing, making it so that not one item is more likely to appear than any other.

Are Artifact Troves Worth It?
Considering that you have to trade Omni Geodes to get Artifact Troves, the big question is: what is more worthwhile,holding onto your Omni Geodes or trading them for Artifact Troves?
Museum
There are a few factors for each. One of the first factors you want to consider isdonating to the Museum. If you want to complete the Museum, thenboth are going to be helpful to you.If you need more minerals, keep your Omni Geodes.If you need more artifacts than minerals, then you will want to start trading them.

Profits
The main factor after the Museum breaks down to how much money you would make from either option.
The profits are affected by a number of things.For Omni Geodes, theGemologist Profession will increase your average profitsfrom selling minerals and gems.For Artifact Troves, theTreasure Appraisal Guide will triple your profitsfrom selling all of your artifacts.
This makesArtifact Troves the clear winnerin terms of selling the items you receive for profit. So, first, consider theitems you still want or need for the Museum. Once you either have the majority or all of the items to complete the Museum,trade your Omni Geodes for Artifact Troves.
