If you have a heart for exploration inEiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you’ve likely already noticed the Runebarrows on the northern side of Eltisweiss. You can access these Runebarrows from the very start of the game, but you’ll be unable to enter them for quite a while.
The only way to enter these ruins is byrecruiting Isha in Eltisweissand progressing the story until you recruit Garoo. Once you have both of these characters, CJ will arrive at your castle and open your way to these runebarrows.

How To Solve The Puzzles On Left Side
After entering the runebarrows alongside CJ, Isha, and Garoo, you’llfirst attempt to defeat a boss called Prometheus normally. However, you’ll realize that this isn’t possible as the boss is taking one or two hitpoints as damage. This will lead you to explore around and find various puzzles on the left and right sides of the barrows.
There are two puzzles on each side, one on the same level as the boss fight and theother after heading to a lower level through the stairs. In these puzzles, you have to move certain mechanisms in a way so that they end up being on the red spots. However, these mechanisms can only move in a straight line and won’t stop unless they hit an obstacle.
The edges of the board don’t count as obstacles, andif these mechanisms reach them, they’ll simply fall.
Apart from all this, you also get a limited number of moves to solve the puzzle. To solve the left puzzle that is on the same level as the boss fight, you simply have to move the only mechanism in the following directions:North - East - South - West - South. These directions are based on your point-of-view, essentially meaning that if you want to push it to the south, you’d be pushing it toward the screen.
To make the solution for the second puzzle on the lower level of the left side easier, we’ll number each mechanism based on its position. Themechanism closest to the screen will be the first while the one farthest will be the third. With that in mind, here are the steps you have to follow:
This entire runebarrows is quite symmetrical, and thegame hasn’t tried to hide chests in it.
You can simply head over toevery secluded roomand you’ll find a chest in the very middle.
How To Solve The Puzzles On Right Side
The puzzles on the right side of this area are significantly easier than the left, with the first one being a simple tap on the mechanism to the north. For the second puzzle on the lower floor, we’ll consider therightmost mechanism as first, the middle mechanism as second, and the leftmost mechanism as third.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
After solving all four of these puzzles,Prometheus will get significantly weakened, and you’ll be able to fight it normally.
How To Defeat Prometheus
Once you’ve weakened Prometheus in the runebarrows of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you’ll see the lights on its body change to green color. It’ll also starttaking a lot more damage and completely lose the S-tier armor that it had. You’ll be able to just brute force this boss quite easily if your team is at a decent level.
Prometheus takes extra damage from Dark magic attacks, soyou can attempt to have a couple of mageswith this rune in your party. It also features a similar gimmick as the rune golem you fought in the Northern Runebarrows that allows the side characters to hide behind pillars.
In most cases, you won’t even need to use these since theboss has pretty low attack poweronce it has been nerfed.
It’s recommended to only use the gimmickif one of your characters is very low.
