Sure, the monsters you’ll see roaming the overworld and the ones you’ll be hatching are pretty terrifying inMonster Hunter Stories, so wouldn’t it be nice to find something a little more wholesome as you battle your way across the land to improve your skills as a Rider?
Around the world, you’ll find hidden Poogies - adorable pink pigs wearing some pretty wild costumes - that are often tucked away off the beaten path. Rescuing them will net you some cool rewards when you’re next near one of your homes; find every Poogie in Monster Hunter Stories to earn them.

What Are Poogies?
It won’t be long into playing Monster Hunter Stories that you’ll find your very first Poogie, apink pig wearing a costumethat’s often tucked away in the furthest corners of the world. We’ll try not to question how they managed to get this lost, but it’s up to your Rider tofind all the Poogiesas youventure through the worldbefriending (or battling) monsters.
They don’t join your party in any way, but collecting them is a great way toearn bonuseswhen you check in with the Poogie you leave near one of your Stables. You get abonus for every ten Poogies, so be sure to check in often if you’re collecting! Each Poogie will also drop a few items itself, so it pays in many ways.
Poogies alsogive a set bonus when you first find them, which is often an item that’ll be useful in your immediate area. Poogies ahead of major story moments give healing items, while Poogies just out in the world are more apt to give you resources.
You don’thaveto collect the Poogiesin Monster Hunter Stories, but if you’re already hunting down resources as you travel, you’ll likely find several of them organically.
Once you have a few Poogies, you can evenchoose which Poogie stands near the stablesto represent your access to thePoogiepedia, the log of all your Poogies in Monster Hunter Stories.
Tips For Finding Poogies
It’s not often, though, that you’ll find Poogies out in the open - they’re usuallypretty well hidden. If you come across an area that youneed a monsterwith a Monstie Riding Actionto access, it’s pretty likely there’s a Poogie at the end of the path you’ll find yourself on.
Poogies also enjoy hidingoff the beaten path, so if you notice anodd offshoot of a path you’re onas you explore and progress the story, you’ll want to deviate for a moment to check it out. Even if it’s not a Poogie back there, you’ll find plenty of helpful resources for the trouble.
Occasionally, the Poogies can blend into these resources, but since it’s always a good idea to be stocking up on the naturally occuring resources in the world, you’ll occasionally be surprised when quickly grabbing things -some Poogies are well-disguised.
