There are five Island Upgrades available for you to purchase on your Sky Island, and each one provides new ways to have fun and film content. Whether you want to improve your videos with a podcast segment or film goofy shenanigans on the Trampoline or in the Swimming Pool, there is an upgrade catered to you.

How To Get Island Upgrades

You don’t have to hit any in-game progress milestones to unlock the ability to buy Island Upgrades. Once you spawn into your game or your host’s server, you will see severalwooden signsaround the island advertisingIsland Upgrades for purchase.

There arefive total Island Upgradesto be purchased, and each one is several hundred Meta Coins, with theleast expensivecosting300 Meta Coins.

When you have earned enough Meta Coins to purchase an Island Upgrade,head to the signof the upgrade you would like to purchase. When you walk close enough to an upgrade sign, you will receive apurchase request prompton your screen.

Use the interact buttonwhen you are next to the sign (‘E’ on PC) and you can buy the upgrade. You won’t be able to buy upgrades until you have theright amount of Meta Coinsin your ‘wallet’.

Once you have purchased your upgrade, yourMeta Coin value will be adjusted,and you will now have access to the new Island Upgrade.

Do You Get To Keep Island Upgrades?

The fun thing about Island Upgrades is that,like with hats, once you have purchased one, it ispermanently bound to your account. Your Island Upgrades willremainon your Sky Islandbetween rounds and game days.

This means that you can continue to use your upgrades as long as you areon the account or hosted serverwhere you purchased them. If you and your friend are on their hosted server, but you buy a Green Screen with your Meta Coins,that Green Screen is yoursand will show up onyour own hosted servers.

We recommend purchasingat least one Island Upgradeas soon as you can, as using these upgrades, like the Green Screen, willimprove the rate at which you earn viewson your videos. Island Upgrades are a great investment!

If your friend owns a Cinema and joins your server,they’ll get to use that Cinemaon your server, too.

Hat ownership also rolls overfrom account to account and server to server. So, if you buy hats on one account, you canstill use those hatson another person’s hosted server. To change your hats, head to theface-changing station.
