Summary
One of the beautiful things about video games is the level of self-expression they allow players due to their interactive nature. While every video game has its own rules and limitations, some titles give you the wriggle room to play around with being good, bad, safe, risky, protective, destructive, and, of course, mischievous.
Certain games are designed around being mischievous and have a ton of different cheeky antics you’re able to get up to while playing them. Because, at the end of the day, who doesn’t like to stir the pot a little bit while playing a video game.

9Geist
This Ghost Needs a Host
Geist is a game that doesn’t explicitly attempt to be mischievous, but its mechanics lend themselves so well to a sense of misbehaviour. In this creative and often-forgotten Gamecube game, you control a ghost named Raimi, who possesses different objects and living creatures to control them.
However, the only way to possess a new host is to scare them first. This leads to some truly inventive scare tactics, including shaking a dog bowl to frighten the dog. It’s an inherently silly mechanic, made even more fun by how seriously the game takes itself.

8Just Cause 3
Time To Cause Some Chaos
Just Cause 3 has one of thelargest open worlds in all of gamingand it puts that space to good use through the sheer amount of mischievousness you can get up to. The game is essentially one big playground where your tools are a grappling hook, wingsuit, and whatever crazy weapons you can get your hands on.
With destructible environments, explosive barrels everywhere, and, best of all, the ability to grapple hook onto enemy soldiers, the “mischief” you may cause in Just Cause 3 is certainly on the more bombastic side. There is very little limitation to what your creativity can achieve when playing Just Cause 3.

7Hitman
The World’s Most Cheeky Assassin
While the antics of Agent 47 typically have a darker tone to them, given you are… well…assassinating people, that doesn’t mean you may’t have some fun along the way. There are levels in Hitman games that give you so much freedom to tackle tasks in just about any way you want, allowing you to cause some mischief while on the job.
Take away a “Wet Floor” sign so that NPCs start slipping or mess around with the electrical wiring of a building so that everyone becomes really confused. There is no shortage of – shall we say “cheeky” – ways to complete your assassinations.

6Sacked! Your Last Day
Going Out In A Blaze Of Glory
Everyone has worked at a job where they dream of causing some serious mischief on their final day. Sacked! Your Last Day lets you live out that fantasy by playing a down-and-out former employee who decides to spend their final day causing as much havoc as possible.
The game is a charming point-and-click prank simulator that lets you meddle with just about every item in the office building. The more pranks you can pull in the time you have, the more points you get. Not a bad way to spend your last day.

5Goat Simulator
The GOAT Of Goat Games
If you’ve ever spent more than five minutes scrolling through funny video game YouTube videos, then you have come across Goat Simulator. This ridiculous “simulator” from Coffee Stain Studios cares little about realism or even good game design and instead just lets you be as wild as you want.
Playing as the titular goat, you terrorize a suburban neighborhood by sticking your tongue to various objects and letting the game’s physics take over. It’s a game that explicitly wants to put a big, stupid grin on your face, and in that sense, Goat Simulator is a resounding success.

4Neighbors From Hell
Your Friendly Neighborhood Prankster
If you’ve ever shared a street with people who rub you the wrong way, then Neighbours from Hell lets you take out that anger and frustration in a fun, virtual environment. In this game, you play as Woody, who carries out various pranks on his cruel neighbor Mr. Rottweiler.
The twist? The entire game is presented as a reality TV show called – you guessed it – Neighbours from Hell. The game is thoroughly charming thanks to its stop-motion-style aesthetic and creative pranks that gradually escalate in their scope.

3Little Kitty, Big City
Throw A Cat Amongst The Pigeons
Kittens aren’t exactly known for their good behaviour, and Little Kitty, Big City places the cheekiness of one little feline right in the spotlight. There areso many mischievous things you can get up toin this game – all of which are an accurate reflection of a cat’s less-than-stellar conduct.
From knocking over furniture to stealing items, there is so much to love about the nonchalant carelessness of this kitty. What’s not to love about walking across someone’s keyboard as they are typing a really important email?

2Untitled Goose Game
Beware The Birds
There are few things in nature more terrifying than a mischievous goose. Untitled Goose Game lets you take control of a very naughty goose whose one mission in life is to cause as much mayhem in a sleepy English village as possible.
You achieve this by stealing objects and manipulating humans to perform increasingly ridiculous tasks. It’s a honking good time that just proves that geese are secretly at the top of the food chain.

1The Sims
Let Your Mischief Run Wild
The Sims series lets you play god with your poor, unsuspecting virtual sims in whatever manner you wish. Want to throw your sims into a pool and then remove the ladder? Go for it! How about filling a room with stink bombs? Sounds like a great idea.
The Sims lets you fully explore your devious side – giving you the freedom to concoct just about whatever mischievous scenario you can think of and then play it out. And the poor Sims just have to play along.
